Combining spectacular Hollywood-style stunts with a gripping storyline, Vin Diesel: Wheelman provides an adrenaline-fueled, cinematic thrill ride guaranteed to leave you breathless. Vin Diesel stars as an undercover agent and highly skilled driver who must infiltrate the Barcelona underworld to gather intelligence surrounding a covert heist. Posing as a driver-for-hire, he ends up caught in a crossfire of corruption and chaos while trying to stay one step ahead of local law enforcement and rival gangs.

Vin Diesel Is The Wheelman: Action film megastar Vin Diesel and his Tigon Studios are again blurring the lines between entertainment mediums, this time collaborating with Midway in the design and production of Vin Diesel: Wheelman to ensure an edge-of-your-seat gaming experience. Diesel's voice and likeness will appear as the game's main character, expert Wheelman Milo Burik.

Cinematic Thrill Ride: Vin Diesel: Wheelman delivers rubber-burning, asphalt-churning excitement that will take gamers on a white knuckle thrill ride that unfolds throughout the streets of Barcelona. Featuring car chases inspired by Hollywood's most famous action-sequences, Vin Diesel: Wheelman will deliver powerful cinematic moments throughout the game's compelling storyline.

Supermove Stunts: Survive death-defying feats by performing pulse-pounding maneuvers that only an expert Wheelman can pull off. Pull off a Cyclone and spin the vehicle 360 degrees while precision firing at your enemies.

More Than Just A Driver: Sideswipe pursuing enemies to get them off your tail, execute devastating maneuvers for maximum motor vehicle carnage, or grab your gun and start blasting right through the windshield.

Maximum Mobility: Commandeer a semi truck to leave your mark on the city. Escape down a narrow alleyway on the back of a tricked-out motorcycle. Hop behind the wheel of exclusively licensed vehicles and make your getaway in style.

Hit The Pavement: Even the best Wheelman sometimes needs to get out of the vehicle. Take to the Barcelona streets for on-foot action - but make sure to remember your guns.

Living, Breathing Barcelona: Set in the exotic location of Barcelona, Spain. This classic European city is densely populated with traffic and pedestrians that react intelligently to your actions as you roam around realistic environments filled with massively destructible objects.

               Big dumb fun

              | | See all EmbraAgain's reviews (11)

Having played the demo, I wasn't sure, but decided to keep the pre-order. The demo opening mission was a bit busy, too crowded with info. The actual game is better paced. The core mechanics of it are sound - ok, the on-foot stuff is pretty basic, but there's worse out there and it's not the focus of the game. The driving is fantastic, with the cars handling very like those in Burnout Paradise. Vehicle melee is going to be nicked by soooooo many other games in the future, and rightly so - it is always satisfying. This is not GTA, nor does it try to be. It's a big, dumb, fun action movie. At this price, it's worth it.

               Great Game

              | | See all Tonyu88's reviews (1)

Been playing the game and found that it is one of the best games of its kind at the moment. If you like GTA and Midnight Club then you'll like this one. Has all the things you want plus more. Would recommend it to anyone.

Great fun to play, missions are easy enough which makes it quicker to complete and start the game over (which i have done)

The only thing i can say that isn't great would have to be that the Barcelona city is not how it is. You do have some of the famous buildings but the rest of the surroundings doesn't look close to the real city.

Do not under estimate this movie tie-in

              | | See all Pipemould's reviews (1)

In most case movie tie-ins are rubbish, to put it bluntly. Name a decent movie game and i'll give you five rubbish ones. But wheelman is different. I wanted this game to be good, but the teaser trailer released last year left me wth a horrible taste in my mouth, i just hoped the final product wouldn;t reflect that.

After playing the demo over the weekend i can safely say it looks like it is going to be another great arcade action racing game. Gfx might not be aaa mind blowin but they work really well and importantly the framerate is consisiten through all the crashes, smashes and explosions. Game promises 15hrs of gamelay for the storymode plus over 100 sidemissions so it seems like it will be a big game and plety of 'bang' for your buck.

If you're on xbl (who isn't?) download the demo, it's a hefty 1.3gb but it'll tie you over till the game is out. Can't wait. :^)

               Based On Demo

              | | See all MG4LIFE's reviews (18)

I was eagerly anticipating this game after i saw a teaser last year. After playing the demo i can say that i was blown away with the quality of this game.
Every detail of this game shows quality. From the super lush graphics to the excellent vehicle handling and gameplay.
Graphics first. Barcelona has been faithfully recreated and looks fabulous with excellent light effects and vibrant scenery. The main character (played by Vin diesel) Looks extremely realistic and when on foot has excellent movement.
Gameplay wise this is easily the best pick up and play action title around. The demo throws you straight in with the objective 'Just Drive Straight on' and thats what you do, and you do it well thanks to forgiving vehicle handling and easy to pull of slides. You soon learn abilites like sideswipes, which are pulled off by moving RS left or right, moving it up performs a forward ram whilst back looks behind.) There are two Special abilities which are performed by up or down on the D-Pad. These are slow mo effects which allows you to use your fun to either shoot cars ahead of you or behind you in a spectacular fashion.
After the deom mission of blowing up police cars and shooting baddies off bikes, you are treated to two of the side missions.
The first introduces the 'Air Jack' feature. You start off in a car and your objective is to steal a variety of other cars for money, the better condition they are when you return them the more money you get. The maneuver is easy to accomplish. Hold B when behind a car then release when the marker turns green, easy.
Next you get to try a race. These are standard lap races but you have all the abilities of the game, including ramming and the 'special, slow mo' abilities. If you're good you can take out every other car in the race leaving just you.
The full game promises online multiplayer and i can see online really taking off in this game.
              10/10

Great Action Game, but has negatives.

Wheelman is a great action game with explosives, high speed car races, and all round good effects especially likeliness of vin diesel. enjoyed the way you could use the car as a weapon!!, first game i have experienced this on! ive enjoyed playing the game all the way through. the negatives tho. some missions repetetive, some side missions seem impossible just stick at it, short main story line. VERY GOOD FUN THO, reccomended for the price!!!
