Having signed up for the beta of this i got my code and couldn't wait for a blast (sorry) on this!!!!!

If you can imagine a cross between PGR / Mario Kart / Burnout and Speed Devils (a Dreamcast classic) then you are halfway there!

The graphics for a demo/beta are really, really good with great car models, lovely scenery and some superb lighting........oh, and the explosions and weapon fx are ace too.
Sound wise it is your standard fare but again this is demo code.
Gameplay for me was where it really stood out, this game picks the best from the above titles and throws them into a blender.
The races are very fast, slick and explosive with weapon power ups flying everywhere.........and considering you can get up to 20 racers its absolutely chaos!!!!!!........which means FUN!!!!!
You can get a real sense of panic when leading the pack but with cunning and track knowledge you can always feel 'in the race' no-matter where your race position.

Before the beta i to be honest was not excited about this but after some serious playtime i can safely say this is a must purchase title..........there is so much potential here i can't wait to sample the full game!!!!!!!!

This game is top quality...i'm not normally a fan of the racing games but this is not a normal racing game!

The single player is good but it's multiplayer where this game really come's to life. It has beutiful graphics, handle's like a dream, no lag and is easy to connect.

The online races are tough but soooo much fun, you are buzzing to even get in the top 5 (lol) the races are fast, brutal, intense, and very very addictive. you say to yourself "one last game" and 2 hours later your still there racing away.

This is my first review ever, i have owned nearly every Xbox game out since the Xbox was released and just felt i had to tell people about this game.......TRULY AWESOME!!!!!!!

Very underappreciated game. I think this game has been overlooked because of other popular race games out there, and brand loyalty.

Great graphics, electric sounds, solid gameplay, and balanced multiplayer to boot.

I've never felt the urge more than to scream my lungs out at the guy who just wrecked me, only to scream higher with gloating pride at my revenge.

IMHO the best multiplayer racing game. The power-ups are nicely balanced. Being able to keep 3 power-ups and use them forwards/backwards with often different characteristics ensures that you always have to choose wisely. The way different power-ups can defend against other power-ups is also very well thought out. Doing this whilst in the middle of a pack and following the track makes for an exhiliarating experience.
No race is the same, and almost every race has great moments, even if you end up last. Splitscreen is great for local play too, but the (important) rearview mirror is absent then.

Forget about Revolt (pc) or Mario Kart, this is the real thing!

When i heard that the makers of Project Gotham were creating a new wayward racing game involving weapons and Facebook..........i was quite dubious as to what they were thinking.
Upon playing the demo i was hooked!!
Blur is NOT a mainstream simulation racer like Forza. What it is is Mario Kart made properly, with licensed cars, world locations to race in all full with a great range of power ups to help hinder your opponents.
The multiplayer is very much where Blur excells, its single player is full of great challenges and a great place to hone your skills, but multiplayer is where you get the full satisfaction.
Ive come to learn very much.......dont start a race expecting to win......just try and take out as many people as you can! in very few other racing games will you be in 7th on lap 1, 1st on lap 2 and last on lap 3, and whats more.....your hardly even aware of your position changing because all you want to do is grab a shunt and nail that guy who's just wrecked you!
