In the all-new Aliens vs. Predator players will have the chance to take the role of the three infamous species; the Colonial Marine, the Predator and the Alien. Each of the three species has its very own distinct story-driven single-player campaign mode that interweaves with the campaigns of the other two species. Aliens vs. Predator will also feature unique 3-way online multiplayer, allowing gamers to pit the three species against each other in the ultimate battle for survival and for the right to be crowned the deadliest species.

On planet BG-386 a colonist mining group discovers an ancient pyramid containing a dark and horrible secret. Across the stars a race of warriors is alerted to the discovery of their pyramid and a hunting party is dispatched to ensure that it remains sealed at all costs, whilst deep inside the ruined pyramid a malevolent intelligence awakes from centuries of dormancy.
  • Suitable for 18 years and over. Not for sale to persons under age 18. By purchasing this product, you declare that you are 18 years of age and over.

  • The Marine's story is an incredible fight against the odds, and the horrors lurking in the dark. Beset on all sides yet armed to the teeth, the Colonial Marine represents humanity's last stand with the firepower to fight back.
  • As the Alien, players will discover what it's like to be the most murderous and lethal creature in the universe, with the ability to traverse any surface with awesome agility in order to get close enough to unleash its deadly teeth and claws.
  • A master of the hunt, the Predator grants the player a suite of exotic weaponry and equipment with which to stalk its unknowing prey. Earn the greatest honour by ambushing prey up-close and butchering them for a gory trophy kill.

 Demo Review

Okay so there's been a LOT of people complaining that the game is highly unbalanced and that you'll enter a game only to find the same species (usually Predators) winning over and over again. Now I can confirm that the reason this happens is because the best players usually play as the predators.
I've played as all three races (found myself to be most effective with the human) and found that there is no inbalance in the races: they all have weaknesses and strengths which turns the game into one long round of rock-paper-scissors (Human Beats Aliens, Predator Beats Humans, Aliens Beats Predators) but this can easily be overcome with enough skill.

Really it depends more on how you play rather than what you play as. Also the one-hit-kill moves are ridiculously satisfying.

So overall a very balanced, and fun game that's varied enough for you to come back to the same map and game mode over and over again.

 One of a Kind!

Aliens Vs Predator '2010' is One of a Kind!

It features up to 20+ hours of Single Player action which is split into the 3 Story Modes for each Species (Human, Predator, and Alien). The missions you encounter will involve a mixture of Sabotage, Stealth, Slaughter, Rescue, and Intense Combat!

The Aliens Vs Predator Multiplayer is also very unique!
There are 7 Game Modes:
1. Deathmatch (Free For All)
2. 3-Way Species Team Death Match
3. Mixed Species Team Death Match
4. Hunt Mode
5. Survivor Mode
6. Infestation Mode
7. Domination

Many would expect the Multiplayer to be completely off balanced and 'Un-Fair' due to the fact that one species is more advanced than the other. Wrong!!! Each Species has it's strengths and weaknesses, and it's down to the player to find out what they are! AVP Multiplayer is very unique in it's own way and you need to work as team if you want to make it through the match alive! AVP Multiplayer also includes a ranking system with extras and character skins you can unlock. There are leaderboads and player stats for you to keep track of and compete with players around the world. Join a Ranked Match, or create a party with your mates and have a blast online with the Player Match option, or even create a Private Match and invite some friends and perhaps come up with your own game modes!

In terms of Graphics, Aliens Vs Predator has very sharp and very effective detail. Rebellion focused on giving the Setting a dark and mysterious feel to it. You could be in a dark jungle where a Predator could be watching you, or you could be underground in an Alien Hive and a player is right on the celing above you, and you have no clue he/she is there until you see their tail burst through your chest!

Compared to the Demo:
I'm unsure about this but I was told that the Demo is actually 8 months old, even though it was released a couple weeks ago. This means that the Demo will contain a few errors and bugs, and perhaps some of the Graphical quality will be a bit poor in certain areas. But it barely resembles what the Actual Game will be like!

Aliens Vs Predator 2010 is very unique in it's own way. If I was to be a professional game reviewer I would give it a "9.8 out of 10".

Reason being is because it is Great Fun, Awesome, Scary, Violent, and Bloody Hilarious! I personally recommend this game because it is not a type of game that comes often!

 Wow...just, wow...

I am immensely impressed with this game, I just did not think they could make a great game on the AVP scene, barring the original PC hit, but they've only gone and proved me wrong!

I can say I am extremely glad I spent such a good price for such a great game.

 Bloody Fun!!!!

I must admit ive been looking forward to getting my hands on this game since it was announced last year and it hasnt disapointed at all. being a huge aliens and predator fan anyways has helped tbh rebellion have done an excellent job of implementing audio such as the roaring sound of the pulse rifile and the aliens trademark screaming when being shot also the likenesses of each species. my only slight bug bear is the sluggishness of the attacks sometimes esp when playing deathmatch or any of the other online modes but its no biggy and can be overlooked quite easily. play.com excellent work again as i received my copy a day early.

 Mediocre at best!

Being a fan of the movies and played other incarnations on other platforms i just had to buy this. But having spent a couple of weeks playing Mass Effect 2 i guess that i had been spoiled as Alien Vs Predator did not live up to my expectations and is at best a mediocre FPS. I dont think the game hits the spot on any level, the graphics are just Ok and the gameplay i find repetitive. Perhaps trying to put three games into one is a bridge too far . Overall just a fair blast, nothing to get excited about!!
