Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit is the first game of the Dragon Ball Z series to hit the Xbox 360. The game features detailed graphics and dramatic, seamless battles, expected from a next generation console. The plans are to have characters and movement reminiscent of the animation, and high-intensity battles.

During each battle, find conditions to create new dramatic scenes. After the battles, watch a unique story unfold each time you play. There is also a stronger element of offence and defence, due to added energy saving and fighting techniques.

Online Feature: Competition grows with the ability to play online in both the Co-Op and Vs. modes.

Unique DBZ Story: During each battle, find conditions to create new scenes and watch a unique story unfold at the end of each game.

Higher Quality Gaming: Experience visuals and movement reminiscent of the anime due to Z3 shading technology and detailed effects.

High Intensity Battles: Increased speed of charge and release on the field, free movement around the field, and increased speed and power of attacks.

Energy: Use of special skills will no longer drain energy. The lower your energy, the stronger you get, making for a possible turnaround of the battle.

Fatal Blow: Each character in the game has their own "Fatal Blow." If the player successfully attacks his opponent, this would be a finishing move, but if not, it will put the player in the disadvantageous situation, and he must battle with no Fatal Blow for the rest of the battle.

           DBZ fun

Gameplay - 7/10 - some epic battles with cool drama scenes
Story - 6/10 - up to the end of the cell saga, should've been up to the Buu saga
          Graphics - 7/10 - the best DBZ and cell-shaded game i've seen
Soundtrack - 6/10 - some pretty cool music
Multiplayer - 5/10 - fun to duke it out with friends

          Dragonball Z burst limit:
There is alot of fun to be had in the latest Dragonball Z game. The gameplay is lightning fast and really makes it feel like you are living the battles seen in the anime. The drama scenes (little cutscenes during gameplay) are also fantastic, adding to the "animeness" of the game, though some of them are a bit too long and interrupt gameplay. A wider range of characters wouldn't have hurt either, plus the game would have been better if it didn't leave out the Buu saga. All in all, i would recommend this to any DBZ fan and anyone who wants a decent fighting game for the 360.

           Great game

          Top 100 Games Reviewer

i think its a great dbz game very fun , yeh the story is short but its still a great game and i bet there will be sequels this is like budokai starting again with better graphics and next gen consoles there will be more. overall 5/5

           Less characters...who cares?!

In response to an earlier review there will only be 21 characters to choose from. The style of game play is returning back to Budokai style,
none of this Tenkaichi stuff with its strange camera angels and lack of variety. Yes there are less characters, but every single one plays completely differently! The old games witnessed the same moves, and quite alot of similarity, but Burst Limit's combat is so in depth, it will take you a while to find out each characters special moves and ability's. It runs up till the end of the Cell Saga (best point in my opinion as I wasn't a fan of Buu). No there will not be a super saiyan transformation after 2, but that's what I love! It gets you back into loving the original Super Saiyan, and how awesome it was. In other games Super Saiyan 1 was just a boring transformation that you had to go through to get the number 4. But it gets you back into the roots of Dragonball z, and from the demo experience this will be by far one of the best DBZ games yet.

This game is a must buy, even for people who aren''t fans of the DBZ series. Slick graphics and a great combat system. For hardcore fans of series such as Mortal Combat or Street Fighter the combat system might not prove much of a challenge which depending on how you feel about that might be good or bad. For total newbies however they will find getting to grips with this game pretty easy.

This introduction of trying to unlock all those special cutscenes in battle increases the playability of this game tenfold. After downloading the demo i find myself playing the two fights again and again with no idea why i keep going back.

If your a dragonball Z fan, then you will enjoy this game! The cut scenes can get tedious, but it truly is an excellent game if you want to relive your favourite DBZ moments.
