Ditch the workout and bring the Zumba Fitness Party right into your living room!

Zumba Fitness is an interactive video game based on the successful dance fitness program that has helped melt the pounds and inches off seven-and-a-half million Zumba enthusiasts in 105 countries. Launching first on Kinect for Xbox 360, Zumba Fitnessis a one-of-a-kind game that pairs Latin rhythms with red-hot international dance steps so you can have a blast as you party your way into shape, unencumbered by a controller.

In the Zumba "exergame", players can learn and perfect nine different dance styles: Reggaeton, Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia, Hip-Hop, Mambo, Rumba, Flamenco and Calypso. The game features 30 different infectious music tracks and routines--some exclusive to the game--led by Zumba creator Beto and celebrity instructors Gina Grant and Tanya Beardsley. No matter what your skill level, the Zumba game is accessible to all with Learn the Steps training, plus Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced routines in five dynamic venues. As you hit each move in rhythm with your on-screen Zumba instructor, the stage transforms into a high voltage party atmosphere with special effects and additional crowd dancers.

Players can partner with a fellow dancer to try to earn the highest collective workout score or dance off against each other in Zumba Attack multiplayer mode. Players can also log in to Xbox LIVE and coordinate a Zumba online class with up to eight friends. Future downloadable content will introduce new music and dance routines to keep the party going.

The Zumba program pairs red hot international dance steps with sexy Latin music to create an ultra fun fitness party on your console that's focused on the joy of movement. Follow along as Zumba instructor fan favorites Tanya, Gina and Zumba's creator Beto guide you through more than 30 routines that will make you forget you are even exercising.

 Rubbish Tracking!

Got this on release day and I was really disappointed. The game didnt track movement properly (perfect movements were not registered as correct and random flailing around registered good scores!), and sometimes the game would just randomly go into the pause menu without you asking it to.

Xbox support are unable to help as the software was not designed by Microsoft, and when I tried emailing the producers of the game they just directed me to the xbox support page about configuring your kinect (there is nothing wrong with my connect as Dance Central and Kinect Adventures work fine).

This review is confirmed by Official Xbox Magazine who give the game a 4/10. I recommend avoiding.

 Hard work

I love Zumba and have all 4 Zumba DVD'S which i love and use at home 3 to 4 times a week. When my partner bought me the Kinect he also bought me Zumba to accompany it.
If i didn't have so much trouble actually getting the game to recognise me i would say that it was almost as good a workout as my DVD'S.
Alas it has taken me over 20 minutes from the wave your right arm to register for it to finally get me on tthe game ( and it has just seemed to be by accident that it has finally recognised me).

 love it

 Proper Workout!

It was this game that finally persuaded me to fork out for a Kinect. And I am glad I did. I do Zumba Classes once or twice a week and I found the classes in this game are just as tough! As it tracks your whole body you can't cheat by wiggling remotes like you can with similar Wii games. I haven't found any real problems with it reading my moves but I have found that every now and again it thinks I am guest. I still get the achievements though and that's what matters, right?!!
I would recommend any Zumba fan to get this game.

I have had this game since Xmas and its fantastic! I do classes twice a week, and this fills in the gap between them really well.

I have noticed that the game doesnt pick up all the moves but that doesnt really matter as you are doing the workout anyway. Its fun no matter what.
