Presentation
Comes in your standard DVD case with a detailed manual and a single DVD disc. The game menus are easy and effective.

Story & Dialogs
The story in this game is very good. Its told in real time sequences, you never leave the FPS point of view during the cutscenes which really makes the game more imersive, this game is a horror versions of Half Life 2.

Puzzle Design
Not many puzzles ni the game but the little puzzles there are are very different and non repetitive..

Graphics
Jaw dropping, the sign of true next gen graphics. Lets hope we see a port to Xbox 350 or PS3.

Sound
The music and sound effects are really atmopheric, it works very well for the game. Doing a better job than Doom3 & System shock.

Gameplay
The fights in this game is amazing, new and fresh. You really feel like your in this world fighting this amazing AI. All levels are very different although continue the same dark theme. AI is the best ever seen (coming from the NOLF2 team, Im not surprised.)

Lasting Appeal
You can replay this game 5 times and each time you'll play every scene differently due to the amazing AI. The multiplayer is solid, also being able to bullet time in multiplayer adds a good twist to it.

Last Word
A milestone in the gaming industry, a sign of a brilliant game. Lets hope the Fear team will soon work on NOLF3.

9.0/10 - Superb

 Excellent game

I think F.E.A.R is really underated, i have completed the game and depite the gore and the strange things you encounter there is a good story line, good battles and definately a good FPS. I was dissapointed to see so many low ratings for the game that i decided to write a review myself. This is a great game with alot of unpredicted twists and for £15 it really is a must buy!

 Not all it seems...

Now i don't know if it's just me but despite the massive amount of rave reviews this game has, it did very little for me! I'm a big fan of FPS's, F.E.A.R. Has nothing that hasn't been done before. On the positive side, the graphics are amazing and the sound effects are second to none. The AI is very clever and your enemies responses are extremely impressive! However... The weapons are very dull, next to know imagination what-so-ever has gone into developing an original gun line-up. The enemies, even though impressive in some respects are simply the same throughtout the whole adventure, which is the same rule for the environment. Ok so the first office block shootout you have is exciting but after a while the constant shootouts in the same place gets rather mind numbing! One of the biggest points that drew me to this game was the promise of a scary and paranormal adversary, on seeing countless screenshots of the young girl surrounded by flames i was sure it'd be impressive. It wasn't, the explanation behind it is drab and to be honest just an idea taken from "The Grudge" movie which didn't work at all. With the other shooters currently released and with some truly awesome ones being released very soon my advise is to save your pennies and wait as sadly a game that promised so much gave very little indeed.

 Awesome game

I first played this game on the pc at college. I thought it was awesome and it scared the crap out of me. As soon as i knew it was coming to xbox 360 i had to get it. Amazing game well worth getting.

Cant get much better for this outstanding price.

This is a very underrated game i would say, its very good and very challenging, unless you are playing on the low setting. Very good game for the price, a must buy in my books
