Dead Space 2

For hardcore gamers, Dead Space 2 will be great, but the ridiculously high difficulty level will put off the casual gamer like myself. I've just played the demo, which is set on Normal difficulty, and i couldn't get past the Pack in the Cathederal. It's a shame that the developers have made it so difficult because it's a fantastically good looking and creepy game.

Based on the demo alone, this looks like it's going to be absolutely awsome. Day one purchase x

Too long in the unimportant bits for instance when you die! Needs to be quicker.
Sometimes at a loss as to what to do, not as good as the first.

Again, based on the demo, Dead Space 2 looks to be another exceptional space scarefest. Dead Space is the only game that has actually lived up to the hype and scared me out of my skin. If the first in the franchise was anything to go by, Dead Space 2 will be even better. The Demo gave me a few 'moments' where I could have done with a clean pair of pants, so if you like scary games with a futuristic space vibe, Dead Space 2 is an absolute must.

I have just played the dead space 2 demo available 21st december and it does not dissapoint, bring it on Isaac !!

"Too hard" u nutter. run behind or on the stairs so u funnel em into a line, peasy. The games gr8, playd the first a number of times and to be fair EA's only just started in the real horror genre with DS and they certainly didnt cut any corners.

Not since the days of Doom2 has a game had such an effect on my nerves. Having played the first one and loved it, I played the demo and thought 'yeah I know what's coming here' and still I nearly shot through the roof. One of the best experiences you can have in the gaming world. Can't wait for the full version.......new undies please.

I loved the first game and now that I'm a little over half way through the second I can happily say I think this is even better.

The quality of the graphics, sound and story just add that extra bit of atmosphere and immersion.

Everything that was great about the first has been retained and with some improvements in other areas, including the game length, slightly longer than the original with more variety with some outstanding set-pieces.

I really hope this sells well or we'll end up with nothing but FPS like COD etc as they seem to make the big sales.

Anyone who liked the original will not be disappointed, anyone else who has an interest in Sci-Fi/Horror or 3rd Person Shooters will also enjoy.

Just remember to turn the lights off and put the volume up!

Ps. Would recommend playing on at least Normal if not higher difficulty.

To the previous reviewer, are you serious? The difficulty will be spot on, even on casual on the previous game it was tough. Shame theres no limited edition of this game, although i expect there was.

Having played the previous game (and loving every second of it) I was REALLY looking forward to this one and downloaded the demo as soon as it became available. I wasn't expecting much difference, and to be honest apart from the slightly better graphics (graphics on the previous game were brilliant anyway) it's pretty much just more of the same - which suits me fine. With regards to the guy who complained about the game being 'too difficult for casual gamers' - how about turning the difficulty down(??!!) sorry - but don't put a game down just because you lack the skill to play it. This is an essential purchase and if you like games like Resident Evil then you will LOVE this. I just hope it arrives by the release date otherwise I might just pick one up from the high street as well.
