Developed by Tokyo-based FROM software - the creative team responsible for the popular Armored Core and Otogi series - Chrome Hounds offers an intense, photo realistic look at war from the cockpits of colossal metal vehicles. These heavily-armed weapons of war, called Hounds, dominate ground battles during warfare in the near-future. Squads of Hound's take to the field in international factions; cooperating with and complementing each other in terms of firepower, range of movement, and abilities. Domination of the world is the prize for the mightiest army on the field. Strategic planning, snap reflexes and communication are key to winning the day in this battle-hardened action title. Players will take the role of either a Squad Member or a Tactics Commander, who is responsible for strategically guiding the team to victory with verbal commands on Xbox Live.
  • First & Only squad-based, mech combat game set in a persistent world for the Xbox 360. Original IP on next gen platform.
  • Strategic Gameplay allows players to take on specific roles, form balanced teams and choose which side to defend as they head into the war zones. Choose from over 110 maps and campaigns.
  • Hound Customization ensures that no two Hounds will be alike in this highly customizable world. Choose from millions of options (parts, weapons, accessories, skins, etc) to build the ultimate war machine that can be taken to the field in both first and third person perspectives.
  • Persistent Online War Zone offers players an immersive multiplayer experience as they wage war for world domination.
  • Multiplayer combat modes allows players to build squads of up to 20 players and take to the field in clans of six for head to head battle with opposing clans. Single player action allows players to sharpen their tactics solo as well as begin to create a Hound that best suits the battle.

Well this had mixed reviews because it has the nickname of robot wars for the people that dont like it. Well it is a very good game on the players point of view the graphics are simply outstanding and the AI is awsome too. Although the downfall being that it takes ages to actually get into the action as the average game time is about 10-15 mins.
Overall a very good game and must be bought for people into their gaming 0_0

If you like mech games, then this one is certainly one of the more impressive out there. Fantastic looks, lots of scope to build exactly what you want, and online play is very fun.

 Not really my thing

I've never really got into this game. I like the idea of building your own hound, but I discovered that pretty much everything is useless, unless you have a huge slow monster. The missions are repetitive and long. They have tried to use lots of tactics in this game, but it all seems pointless, as most of the time just charging in wildly is the best option. I couldn't find a proper UK-based squad online, and I had to change my side to find one. I think I played on this game once, in January, and haven't played it since.

 Terribly slow-paced fighting

Gamplay - 2/10 - the customisation is cool
Story - 2/10 - political boringness if you ask me
Graphics - 5/10 - not good, not bad
Soundtrack - 3/10 - i preffered to listen to my own
Multiplayer - 2/10 - i though online was pants

Chrome Hounds
Chrome hounds is a squad based fighter where you build up your mech with a wide selection of peices and send it into battle. The customisation is the best bit, cos you can create some pretty cool looking robots. Battling, on the other hand, tends to be slow, dull and not very strategic. Personally, i would tell people not to buy this game, but if your into slow, robot fighting then buy it. Or just rent it first, then consider buying it if you like it.
