In Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII, players test their air-combat skills as they experience the most famous battles of World War II. As a squadron leader, players can fly up to 38 WWII aircraft in both single-player and multiplayer missions.
Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII features innovative squadron-based combat, in which each artificial intelligence wingman's specialized skill can be used to the pilot's advantage. During the course of the 18-mission campaign, players will evolve along with their wingmen into an ace fighting force. Spectacular graphics enhance the combat experience in true World War II battle sites such as England, Germany, France, Morocco, Pearl Harbor, Midway and Tokyo. The heroic storyline that follows the evolution of a single squadron and the cinematic presentation create moments reminiscent of classic World War II movies. Pilots fly in close to Germany's industrial terrain during a bombing raid or emerge from the fog and cloud cover over London to engage the enemy. Up to 16 players online can engage over Xbox Live online game service in head-to-head dogfights or cooperative team play between squadrons in 10 additional missions.
Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII for Xbox 360 will feature significant visual and sound enhancements that will take advantage of the powerful audio and graphical capabilities of Xbox 360's platform. Stunning graphics and improved sound will completely immerse the player in a cinematic experience as fights in epic air battles of World War II.
  • Enhanced 3D plane models: Highly detailed and authentic-looking planes make intensive use of environmental lighting and dynamic imagery.
  • New improved and enlarged textures provide more detail for both planes and terrain: Players will see sun glare on their cockpits, light shafts streaking through clouds and detailed shadows on the environment. Cities, buildings and facilities have also been enhanced to take full advantage of advanced lighting effects and shading to create an intense, realistic atmosphere for cities and military bases.
  • More realistic battle damage: Bullets hit planes and smoke dynamically streams from cannons and engines. Battle damage from bullets, bombs and downed planes is visible and persistent on both terrain and buildings.
  • Dramatic presentation: Visual perception filtering will be enhanced including extended burn effects and motion blur to create even more drama. Intense shockwaves from explosions fill the sky with debris using dynamic lighting and particle effects made possible by Xbox 360's system.
  • Enhanced sound effects: Perception filtering enhances the player's immersion. Sound treatment is actively managed in accordance to what the player does. Sound varies depending on the scene in order to create a more immersive, cinematic and dramatic atmosphere around the player.

I bought this game for less than a tenner a week ago from this site. I earned 1000 gamer points in less than 5 fun-filled hours, using the cheats.

That's 1000 points in one afternoon!! :)

Oh yeah, the game is actually kinda fun too! :)

If like me your aint that good at the fighting games that require you to remember 100's of control sequences, then this is ideal, good graphics and easy controls

He dosen't know what he is talking about. He probally played it once and wasn't verry good at it. This game is an old ww2 airborn game where you shoot enermy's down from the skys. Yes it came out at the start of the xbox 360's releace but that dosn't have anything to do with the fact that its a good game for wourld war players.

I thought this game was a bargain at £16.00 but take care. There is a reason it's cheap. Multiplayer mode is little more then flying round wasting you're life away and is, consequently, only funny if you're drunk. Career mode is no better, buy a game worth having like Forza 2 or Rainbow 6!

This game came out before Over G Fighters, so therefore You can imagine the gameplay isn't quite as good. However It is in fact a much worse game with the worst controls I have ever had the misfortune to come across. Once again your 18 quid would be better spent elsewhere. I just feel pity for the developers releasing a sequel. Who in thier right mind would pay for this junk a second time??? Keep your money and fingers crossed that Ace Combat lives up to its name and reputation on PS2.
