4 Better and Better1004adam1990 | 15/01/2012 | See all 1004adam1990's reviews (5)After owning NBA 2k11 and playing it for what seems like forever, I finally got NBA 2k12 (once it stopped being 42.99) and the improvement on last year is huge. The game is a much more realistic pace and the player stats and the way they play are much more realistic too. On NBA 2k11 you could back down any big man against a beast like Dwight Howard and dunk in his face, on this game, forget about it. Just like in real life these do-able things in 2k11 are now very far and few between in 2K12. The My Player mode is better than ever with a list of things to do which I can't be bothered to type. Again like 2K11 it's a love - hate mode, when you play well it's great, when it goes badly I want to throw something at my player. In the end it's well worth it. The one thing I do dislike is the difficulty levels, on 2k11 I could play on All-Star and have a very competitive game. But on 2k12 it's just too hard to stop them scoring, which means a move down to Pro level and then a winning margin of about 20 points. When all is said and done it's a huge improvement on 2K11 and in my opinion is the greatest sports game to date. Just a bit too hard at times.
