         Bug Ridden

This might be a good game, but it is so full of bugs that it hard to know. EA have acknowledged that an early and essential challenge is currently impossible to finish due to a bug, and the game locks up frequently at other stages. Further, the Game Face feature is totally unusable at present as, despite the hype EA whipped up surrounding this feature, they claim to be shocked by the response created and their servers have crumbled.

All in all, it could be great, but who knows? EA have decided to rush it to the shelves and release it unfinished. A patch is apparently on the way, but that shouldn't be necessary: these basic flaws shouldn't make it into the game. When spending your hard earned cash on a game, the developer should at least have the grace to supply you with the finished product, not an unplayable work in progress.

Avoid even if you're a Tiger fan.

Avoid this game at all costs. Ever since it came out last week the EA servers have not worked meaning that the gamernet facility does not work and nor does the online play. These functions are intermittent at best.
There are many problems with the game face and "Tiger challenge" as well. Read the forums on EA's website and you will discover how many faults there are with this game. It is a half finished product and I wish I could get a refund for it.
I have always had a Tiger game and love them. When this one works it is a good game, but that is the key. WHEN it works. It rarely does and has been getting worse all weekend, to the extent that single player rounds are now consistently freezing my xbox ( none of my other games have any problems on or off line.).
Save your money for a different game.

Excellent Addition To The Series - Shame About The Crashes

Brilliant game in all areas. Graphics have been improved, Tiger Challenges are much improved and there is a speedier process to building up your points due to some great programming. The gameplay is a lot less forgiving than in previous years, but in my humble opinion, that has to be a good thing, adding more realism to the gaming experience and therefore increasing longevity. With all that is good, why oh why have EA not play tested it correctly?? The game constantly freezes on one of the Tiger Challenges - there is a way round this and it took me a while to find it. When this happens, reboot and continue the alternate route to the challenges, coming back to the one that freezes later on (this took me a couple of days to suss - after receiving a replacement copy from the wonderful people at Play).
I also agree with other reviewers about the amount of times the game does crash - not good and not what we have come to expect from this excellent series.
One last minor gripe - I was really looking forward to placing a photo on my player until I discovered you can only do it through EA's website and connecting your 360 to it to download. This should have been made much clearer since it is such a big marketing factor.
So, to summarise, if you dont mind the odd crash - can live with the freezing problem (now I have shared the solution), don't feel too let down by the photo realistic rip off thingy, then this game is superb. But it could have been so much better with a little care and attention. Having said that, it has still eaten months of my life.

         Many Pros, Few Cons.

        I love this game.
For me this is the best TW game, and i've played a few.
Gameface is an amazing idea. Let's face it, everyone plays the careers and makes their character, upset when they can't get it to look more like them. This has helped massively. It might not be an identical replica of your face, but it's pretty damn good, and real easy to do.

Gameplay is good. The fact the stats are more slow in moving up helps make it better long term, in that you don't win every tournament you play straight off.

The sensitivity of the stick means you have to be better also, I like a game with a bit of challenge, not just a walkover.

Freezing is the only downside. However the few times it has happened to me have been in Tiger Challenge. Since these challenges are relatively short, not too much progress is lost.

An amazing game. Best sports game on the 360 so far.

         Sweet Game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
