EA Sports challenges you to step into the ring with Fight Night Round 4. This highly anticipated iteration of the critically acclaimed franchise has perfected every jab, slip, and punch in the sport of boxing to bring you the most realistic fighting experience to date. With an advanced physics system, stunning graphics, and deep gameplay and feature enhancements, Fight Night Round 4 is putting the science back in the sweet science.

Fight Night Round 4 has channeled the distinctive looks and movements of over 45 boxers into the virtual ring to capture the true strengths and weaknesses of true to life boxing styles. Every champion has a unique style that defines him as a boxer. Authentic Boxer Styles emulate every detail of the most notorious boxing legends, from their quick moves to their most devastating combinations. Gamers can choose the brute force of Tyson or the indefinable finesse of Ali and use their strengths to overcome opponents.

Legacy Mode: Find your style and learn the basics as an amateur, then move into the spotlight to leave your legacy as a pro. The Legacy Meter will determine where you stand amongst the greats. Pump up your popularity, improve your stats, and boast an impressive record as you move from "bum" to "greatest of all time".

Online World Championships: Think you're the best? Well now you can prove it. Create a boxer and bring him up through the ranks of all the other fighters worldwide. With one belt holder worldwide (per weight class), will you be defending a title or always trying to reach for one.

R.E.A.L. AI: Switch up your combinations and make unexpected moves to confuse your opponent. With adaptive AI, you will be forced to think on your feet as your opponent adjusts to your strengths and exploit your weaknesses.

Partial Shots and Glancing Blows: Go beyond a simple game of hit and miss. Advanced physics allow boxers to land glancing blows and partial impact punches to deliver varying degrees of damage. Increase your accuracy and send your opponent to the canvas.

In-Fighting: Move in tight and deliver blows to the face and body to neutralise the reach of an outside fighter. For the first time ever, boxers can land inside punches and push off to create space to score a straight combo.

Blood, Sweat and Damage: Feel the sweat spray and taste the blood with the advanced visuals that bring unprecedented realism to the ring. Watch your opponent's face swell with damage and ripple when you land that knock-out punch.

Slip, Step and Block Defense System: Fight Night Round 4 boasts a refined defense system. Improving on the blocking system of Fight Night Round 3, boxers will be forced to interchange blocks with side steps and slips to maximise their effectiveness. Continuously cover up and your opponent's punches will eventually break through.

Based on Demo this is 3 Years Wasted!!!

Fight Night 3 is probably one of the best games on the 360 certainly top 5 possibly 3. And from what I can see they have done so many good things to this game, and then ruined it by making the controls feel like youve put the toggle pads in concrete!

You constantly flick the right stick to make punches only for random excuses for punches or just nothing to happen. It genuinely has absolutely ruined what would probably be an even better game than its predecessor.

I have played the demo as has my friend many times and neither of us can knock anyone out simply because landing to decent punches one after the other is bordering on the impossible.

As much as I can agree the controls and method of throwing haymakers needing some work on from round 3. Its is undescribable untill you play it how bad the controls are and fail to see how anyone can rate this highly because its no where near as good as 3.

The reason I give this 3 stars is only because I'm sure that when they release the full game they will return the control method back to the same way it was in Round 3 with some modifications. If not as I say they have just ruined 3 years by simply giving it the most unresponsive controls.

I don't understand the amount of people who have criticised this game. It is soooo much better than fight night round 3, the graphics are better the gameplay's better. More importantly the career mode is phenominal, a lot of thought has clearly gone into the career mode, and you can really go too town on personalizing your boxer, you can literally customize everything, gloves, shorts, boots, robes..... honestly, by this game, it really is somethin' else..

I've been looking forward to this for some time and based on the demo I'm feeling a little short changed.

With punches being thrown via the right stick, it feels far too easy to throw an incorrect punch. For example, the difference in stick movement between an uppercut and a cross is very small. This constantly left me wide open to a hefty smack in the face, which in a boxing game isn't ideal.

The graphics are good but as mentioned in one of the other reviews they do have something of a cartoon like quality. In some of the close ups, the fighters look like wax works and are certainly not as good as the those in UFC 2009.

The actual physics of the fight seem to work well although punches feel weak when thrown. The haymaker punches feel especially under powered and during one bout I knocked my opponenet down with a punch, which quite frankly my Nan could have taken!?

I sincerely hope that this is one of those games that improves the longer you play it and that the full version will "draw you in" so that the minor flaws can be overlooked.

This game is truley amazing. Graphics are really good but whats better is the effect of there faces when they have been punched several times. There whole ey can swell up depending on the times its hit and you can split there cheeks etc. The customisation is really good and the legacy mode is awsome. The only problem i have with this game is that in the fight now option the fighters dont have belts you can challange for (like wrestling games) but this is not that big a problem but would of made it perfect. This is a must have.
