Prepare for a totally new combat experience as you fight massive air, sea and undersea battles in WWII's Pacific theatre in direct command of multiple warships, planes and submarines in this epic solo and online tactical action game.

For the first time experience the true intensity of large scale aerial and naval combat in a unique mix of direct action and tactical play. Directly control dozens of highly detailed warships, aircraft and submarines in a 'free-control' environment as you design and execute the best plans of attack. Command the colossal firepower of a fully armed battleship, engage the enemy in fierce dogfights through flak-infested skies, or utilise the silent attack of your submarine to unleash deadly torpedo attacks on unsuspecting enemies.

Revolutionary Gameplay:

  • Experience epic WWII combat from multiple perspectives as you jump between dozens of units, playing as a pilot, a gunner, a submarine captain or even a carrier fleet commander.
  • Massive Battlefields:

    • Every battle takes place simultaneously in the air, on the sea and beneath the waves. Movement of your fleet and the individual efforts of any one vehicle is critical to success.

    Innovative Online Multiplayer:

    • Huge multi-unit online battles with up to 8 players controlling over 100 units via Xbox Live and Gamespy

    Authenticity & Realism:

    • Cutting-edge graphics bring the Pacific ocean and island chains alive with lush real-world environments, dynamic weather effects and incredibly detailed vehicles and weaponry.

    Sixty War Machines:

    • Each warship, plane and submarine is authentically designed. The more players know about each units profile, capabilities and weaknesses the better they will fight.

    Deep Single Player:

    • Features 11 epic campaign missions, 12 bonus challenge missions, naval training academy and an immersive storyline.

     Simply Brilliant

Downloaded the game from Xbox marketplace as a demo. Absolutely loved it, whether you hunt with subs, destroy battleships and destroy air and land targets as planes. I rate the online play as a little slow and repetative but when you get the full version, things open up completely. A definate buy.

     A lost treasure!!

Dont be to eager to listen to the other moaning minnies, Battleshipes Midway is a great game if you are willing to put some effort in to it. Graphically its very good but theres times when you think it could have been better!
The controls can be a bit fiddly and in the heat of battle you can panic and press every button.
The game play is excellent especially on line where the action can be furious, the detail on the ships and planes really makes you appreciate and be thankful for all the soliders that gave their lives in these epic struggles. I give this game a very solid 4 out of 5.

     Great Game

When I first got this game I played it for a couple of hoursm got fed up, tried to sell it on here, but then decided to give it another go. Once you get your head round the buttons, which I think you do need them all, it is amazing. I dont think I got the hang of it until the final couple of missions, but they were awesome, well worth the trouble.

     Great game

I know that some people don't like this game, maybe thats because you have to think about what you are doing. This is one of my top 5. Play the single player game on the medium setting and you find you don't have an endless supply of aircraft, you have to start rashioning them as your supply becomes depleated. How you position your ships within a fleet becomes a factor in defending them. This is a great game for people who love tactical games rather than your no brainer arcade style games. I agree that there are not enougth single player games, something which I think they have increased in the follow up Battlestations Pacific, can't wait for that release!

This game is an insult to the xbox 360 and should never have been released on the system. It reminded me of playing a game on the ps1 and should of stayed in that era!
