R.U.S.E. is a one-of-a-kind real-time strategy game that allows players to bluff their enemies to lead their nation to victory, controlling the action using views that range seamlessly from the heart of the battlefield to the full theatre of war. Players will be plunged into the action thanks to the exclusive IRISZOOM Engine which offers an intuitive interface that allows for smooth, rapid transitions from a birds-eye view of the entire conflict, down into the heat of the battle and vice versa. In R.U.S.E., players use their brain as the ultimate weapon, fighting a war of perception, where the ability to deceive and mislead the enemy determines success. A first in a strategy game, R.U.S.E. reinvigorates the genre by using deception to give new-found depth to the gameplay.

How an RTS should be on a console

Halo Wars was horribly over simplified and Supreme Commander 1 overly complex for some and had graphical issues when unit capacity was maxed.

However, at last we have an AMAZING rts title worthy of recognition, RUSE. It had a practically non-existant awareness/marketing campaign and being strategy wont even be noticed by the majority of console gamers.

However for rts fanboys it strikes perfect balance between game balance and strategic oppurtunity/manipulation whilst it still proves understanding enough for new gamers to this genre to understand the mechanics and get to grips with the game quickly.

Campaign is great, particularly for those new to strategy games, eases you in mission by mission. Gradually gives more units to you and more unit types with progressive difficulty. Around mission 14 missions get difficult and really require some thinking to get round each scenario.

Online is great, easy to get into casual games with no connection/lag issues at all. Ranked games are a little harder to find but not impossible, just need to be on during peak play times to get instant game. Both modes offer great longevity and progession in terms of rank

As you can see, i love this game. Cant reccommend it enough, it is simply THE BEST RTS on console by far.

 Not a regular RTS

"R.U.S.E." is an example of an RTS done great! Incredible action, incredible gameplay and lots of style: these are the ingredients of one of the best strategy-war experiences. A must buy for every RTS lover and a great game for everyone else.

After playing the long awaited demo (on PC) I can safely say that this will be an essential purchase. The sheer ease at which you command your army on the field is a master class on how a good RTS is designed. Thank b'jesus for the months of delay. It's clearly been put to good use.
I also know that he Xbox control system is a revelation and no doubt will be pilfered into many future console RTS games.
Right, where's me controller!

 a good buy

what makes this game worth buying ,for me, is the battle mode and the online gaming. I feel the actual "game" is quite boring ,but seems to be much better in other modes and far more entertianing. The controls are very easy to use, the graphics ,sound are good and the game play in the modes i mentioned are very addictive and different each time
you play......very clever Ai. Just one more point though...in the pre release video it shows the guy controlling battle ships etc.....you cant.....so why show them being controlled in the video?. Still overall a very good game..maybe ruse 2 will have ships!!

At last a good game with simple controls.XBOX360

RUSE has been planed out well with the first few missons giving an indepth review if the controls. Which are easy compared to so many other games of this stock. The maps are a good size and free flowing .if your into this kind off game i would recomend and its from ww2 not space age!
