XBox 360 Premium Console: Xbox 360 ignites a new era of digital entertainment that is always connected, always personalized, and always in high definition. It is the only system designed with a singular platform vision that combines the most-powerful hardware with intelligent software and services. With more than one teraflop of system-floating point performance, a three-core PowerPC-based CPU for the most-advanced artificial intelligence and physics processing, a custom ATI graphics processor and more than 512 megabytes of memory for the ultimate in visual fidelity, the Xbox 360 hardware is a perfect blend of power, elegance, and balance.

Gears Of War: Gears of War thrusts gamers into a deep and harrowing story of humankind's epic battle for survival against the Locust Horde, a nightmarish race of creatures that surface from the bowels of the planet. In this third-person tactical shooter, gamers live and breathe the role of Marcus Fenix. A disgraced former war hero, Marcus seeks personal redemption as he leads his fire team against an onslaught of merciless warrior fiends. Gamers immerse themselves in an experience so intensely emotional and gut-wrenching that playing will be like controlling a blockbuster action movie.

Crackdown: Crackdown pushes the action-driving hybrid genre into the next generation with the first ever truly 3-D playground. Gamers will enforce justice by any means necessary in Pacific City, a crime-ridden urban center built to encourage the exploration of the full width, depth and height of the city. Coupled with highly innovative co-op gameplay - a genre first - and an interactive world where nearly anything can be used as a weapon, gamers will be able to create a volatile cocktail of judicial oppression as they clean up the streets.

this is a great deal, only when the 360 first came out over 2 years ago it was £300 for the primium pack alone. with this you get the primium pack and 4 games and 1 spare controller ! (which i would always recommend to have a spare controller) if you haven't already seen the other deals that are on offer they in fact cost the same amount for less games and no controller so this is defaintly a very good deal worth buying ( you won't find a better one)

Firstly, I own a 360, Wii and PS3 and without doubt for me the X360 is currently the heavy weight champ of the next gen consoles. More about the console later. This package is amazing

When I got my X360 at launch, a core package before upgrading to the full package here and buying all the extra hardware and games to make this package in total cost me £450, and here it is at just £10 more than the Premium console on its own. You get £120 worth of games and a £25 controller for an extra £10. In total your saving around £180.

Want to know about the games in detail read my other reviews, but to summerise... Gears Of War is a ground Breaking new bench Mark in Gaming, worth owning a 360 just for that. PGR4 is very good indeed, especially in HD, Crackdown a bit bog standard but for around the 'free' cost mark in this package you can't complain. And the Arcade games are some of the poorer games available, but still, again your almost getting it for free.

The supplied HD component cable also includes standard definiton connections so if you've not got component inputs on your TV this should not put you off.

Graphically the X360 is superb in HD. Graphically currently the best there is, the PS3 although its hardware is more powerful cannot match the X360's visuals at this time of writing, and the games provided here will show case that.

You will need an Optical Digital cable to make use of the X360's surround sound and it is excellent.

I'm sure you've heard horror stories about X360's breaking down, mine did. I was gutted but the service by microsoft was excellent. It was within its warranty period (which is standard 12 months), when it broke I rang microsoft, they emailed me a UPS package logo, snet the UPS man round to my house to pick up the Xbox, and sent it back repaired about 1 week later all free of charge and no hassle. So if it does break its not the end of the world.

Xbox Live is without doubt the consoles edge over the competition. Xbox Live Arcade is excellent, with nearly 100 games available at around £5 each and new games released every Wednesday (Arcade Wednesdays) there will no doubt be something there for you that you remember playing in your miss-spent youth.

Xbox Leaderboards appear on all games - so reckon your good, see how you compare to the rest of the world who is online playing the game.

Online Multiplayer is awesome, Gears of War co-op a highlight, but all games can be played online in someway.

Sure, the X360 has a noisy fan when you play your sound at low volumes its clearly audible. But put that with the Pro's - Beautiful graphics in HD, brilliant on line gaming. A gamercard to track your achievements in games youve played. Customizable dashboard, hundreds of games and at least 20 excellent ones, that it will play your DVD's, speak to computers in your house so you can view photos from there harddrive on your main TV, stream music from your PC whist playing games and play your music in every game rather than the games in game music. Has Digital surround sound output. Great voice communiction and easy friends management, child friendly settings. Play your own music in game, keep your games upto date for any bugs and play new levels via downloads. And this list isn't extensive

To sum up. Right now the X360 is the best, in 12 months, when the PS3 has some great games in its catalogue there will be a battle for supremecy, but right now, this is the best there is and this is a tremendous value for money package.

The 360 has a great selection of games and with Halo 3, Gotham 4 and Fable 2 on their merry way it shows no signs of letting up.
The games included in this deal will make a great start to building a AAA collection and it's always great to have an extra OFFICIAL pad as that way your mate can't blame his shoddy skills on his tools.
There are plenty of cheap games around for the 360 now and if you have broadband then being able to download and try games out is worth connecting this thing for.

I wouldn't have said that the 360 was any better or worse than the Wii or PS3 as all three certainly have their merits and pitfalls but presently the 360 really does seem to have the most going for it.

Why only 4 stars? Because they're noisy, Live costs an extra £40 per year, the HD-DVD drive and WIFI adaptor are not built-in, it's not white it's pale beige and because I think it looks ridiculous - An inhale? Pffft, looks more like an imploded PC tower if you ask me.

 Cracking deal

This is the best price on the net no question.

I did a lot of research before buying the 360 since the PS3 is also tempting, but I felt the 360s game lineup and price point (esp at this price) won me over.
