I was a bit disappointed - I wanted some sort of mount that I could trust the Kinect to sit on, and stay on. This one isn't solid - one swipe from a passing cat will send it, and my Kinect sensor, crashing to the ground, so I find myself having to mount it, use it, remove it, put it away, and then get it out again and re-insert the Kinect next time I want to use it. I'd rather have paid more for a more solid mount, but this was the only one I've seen so far.
As other reviewer said, using the instructions this would not fit on my Samsung TV at all, however by putting the L bracket on the opposite way it fit perfectly, mine feels pretty sturdy have not needed any tape or Velcro.
Perfect stand only bad part is the instructions had no writing just pictures and seem to be aimed at TV's with very thin flat backs and does not even mention that turning the L bracket around would be better for curved back TV's such as Sasumgs.
All in all a good product since with a bit of tweaking it all works perfectly.
Camera is nice and secure in the holder and it sits nice on top of my Samsung Series 6 LCD.
I actually had to turn the support T bracket (that goes down the back of TV) around to what it shows in the booklet before it would fit.
The non slip pads on the T bar sit ok on the back of the tv but i have stuck Velcro strips on the back of tv and support bar just to be extra safe.
All in all a good cheap alternative to what i've seen in the shops.
Cheap quality. Not suited to TVs more than 5 inches deep.
Handle like eggs once mounted.
Would have got more stars if less than 5 pounds.
I own a piano black curved samsung tv and was concerned I'd have trouble but for less than 8 quid I was prepared to risk it. Mainly as we have a 2yr old who has been eyeing up our lovely kinect sensor since xmas! And they are not toddler proof in the slightest!
As the other user suggested I had to flip around the rear bracket but that was no hassle - I've also put a couple of sticky tabs on the back just to be sure. The unit is made of good quality plastic and doesn't feel flimsy in the slightest. Its also worth noting that the kinect sensor slides indside the top bracket which allows it to sit lower than the offical PDP bracket. And at over 30 quid cheaper I consider it an excellent purchase!!!!!
No way was I going to pay 40 quid for the official TV mount so until recently I had been using a homemade cardboard one!
Saw this and ordered due to the price. It appears a little precarious when in place but after giving the TV a good rocking it didn't budge so would appear to be sturdy enough.
My TV is just over 4" deep and the mount fiftted with a few mm's to spare.
I'm tempted to say that it feels a little cheap but for this price you can't really complain.
For the money I can not fault this neat bit of kit.
Like others I had to defy the instructions and turn the bracket around but it works perfectly both ways; if anything this is a huge benefit as it will fit more TVs!
really sturdy can't knock it off even if I try to it looks quite nice and it works s with any tv even ones with small borders because it only takes up half an inch or maybe a little less.
Those who say this doesn't fit or is loose need to have another go. True, it fits better with the L bracket the opposite way to that shown but once done it fits securely without a problem. Top mounted it also helps you get better kinect response. At 3.99 you can't go wrong. Get one.
cheap and easy sits perfect can't screwed on it but it grips tight in holder why pay more.
