Another basic eye-toy style fitness game. Fitness evolved is all you need.
Yup the Kinnect detects you, tracks you, you follow training routines... but if you peel away the layers it is not much more than Mr.Motivator DVD from the pound shop.
i orginally bought this game because i love ufc. after using it it it isnt for the faint hearted. it will kick your ass get you fit and sculpt your body aslong as you put the effort in. the 30 day programs are awesome as they come with the choice of either build strength cut weight or build endurance.
there is also hit the mits where you train with ufc fighters or trainers using various levels of dificult combos ranging from easy to hard so teaches you techniques as well
a must have for ufc fans and a must have for ppl who r willing to put the effort in to obtain tht mixed martial artist body
Have played it two nights in a row and although i would call myself fit i have been aching in muscles i never knew i had. A vast improvement on your shape regarding kinect sensor and how it picks u up. A couple of times it has lost me while excercising but that has been my fault from moving out of the area given to stand in. Very good .
This is a great game (exercise manager) if you use the workout program. I set up for the 60 day workout and so far it is excellent. Really pushes you to work hard and has a good mix of exercises. Some of the verbal is irritating but just turn the volume down.
Very good content with options to do just one exercise if you want, although if this is all you want then you are wasting 99% of what this game offers.
I am a professional martial arts teacher and have found thi sto be a good workout... It does not teach you to do UFC or cage fighting but it does what it says on the box..
At the end of the day, you will either buy this for what it is or you wont. It's heavily focused on striking, combinations, fighting movements but still has a good cross section of programmes, warm ups and 'free training' options in the package.
If you want a nice sedate work out, don't bother with this. If you want to focus on striking techniques and work those kind of skills in the comfort of your front room, this is definitely for you.
I find this far more relevant to my previous (if limited) experience with Karate and Krav Maga than something like EA Sports Active, and UFC Personal Trainer is far less buggy, and didn't 'lose me' anywhere near as much as EA's tedious effort.
