Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway brings the critically acclaimed squad-based WWII shooter into the next generation of gaming with amazing graphics and sound, new cutting-edge gameplay features and a completely redesigned online component. Delivering on the franchise's compelling story, unrivaled authenticity and intense squad-based action, Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway drops you into Operation Market-Garden, the largest airborne operation of World War II. Lead Matt Baker, Joe Hartsock and the rest of the 101st Airborne Division as they fight to open "Hell's Highway" in a daring bid for a quick end to the war.

Next Generation. Granted with the excellence of Unreal Engine 3, the classic authentic, squad based combat series explodes on next generation hardware offering unprecedented graphics and features.

Destroyable Cover. Keep your men moving, and choose your cover wisely - simulated with real physics, weapons will damage, dent, scorch, and destroy the world around you.

Unprecedented Character Design. Lifelike characters look, talk, move, and think with incredible realism. Game characters interact with the player and each other like true brothers-in-arms, trading ammunition, helping wounded allies, working together to man team-operated weapons, and more.

More open level design. Discover the enlarged given choices allowed by next-generation in wide open level design.

Unrivaled Authenticity for a true WWII immersion. Experience the high tension of true battles from the historical Market-Garden Operation, and make your way through real locations of 1940s Holland. Fight alongside historic war heroes such as such as Lt. Colonel Robert Cole, Colonel "Bob" Sink or George Koskimaki.

Step into the Boots of a Soldier. Hit the dirt and get prone, rip grenades from your chest and hurl them at your enemies. See and feel the blast of nearby explosions.

Live the Life of an Enlisted Man. Get orders from HQ, go on patrol, spot the enemy, and set up a devastating ambush. For the first time, finding the enemy before they find you is part of the challenge.

Rich cinematic experience. As the squad leader you interact and get to know your brothers through the game. Each character has its own personality, a unique story and background and grows through the game.

               Brilliant game

This game is brilliant. The cover system is very clever and easy to use, the graphics are very good, much better than CoD, it uses the new unreal engine so it's epic game quality. The multiplayer isn't as bad as everyone says it is, the graphics are exactly the same, but the maps seem a little bare. The only problem being there is lag sometimes. The main reason I think a lot of people don't like it is because you have to work as a team, which some people can't do. Don't worry about what RyTheBhoy said, he obviously hadn't completed the game when he wrote his review, you DO NOT die. The scene he described was to make you think you die, there may even be another Brothers in Arms. Also it may have a cover system, but it is not the same as Rainbow Six, it's more like a GTA cover system, but improved upon. The gameplay is not slow. It is a tactical game, so it is not run n' gun, you need to think about the situation your in the beat this game, it is not as hard as the first two BiA's, but that's only so newcomers can get into it, Authentic mode still delivers the incredibly hard gameplay you'd expect. Gearbox also included a first person actor, it is not like you are a disembodied pair of arms with a gun, you look down, you can see your legs and grenades on your chest, your gun moves realistically as well ,your not always perfectly ready, with your gun to your eyeball and neither are the enemy, you can catch them off guard if you play the game correctly. This game is for people who like tactical shooters. If you like CoD style gameplay where it is possible to go in run n' gun, then don't buy this, you'll find it too hard and blame the game, it is a very good game, if you understand the consequences of what you are about to do and consider everything tactically

               One Hell of a game!

This is an amazing game. I have been looking forward to this game for ages and its finally paid off!. The graphics are the best ive ever seen on a 360. If you like tactical shooters then this is the game for you.

Right i'm going to be dead honest about this game. The game is very very good, it is flawed in places mind you. The game play is very intense, it has a horror theme to it in places which is a welcome surprise to the game. The characters are very well portrayed and acted. At first the story doesn't make any sense but stick with it because it all comes together throughout the game. Its very entertaining and it makes you think of how you are going to play each map rather than going in all guns blazing, you have to use your head with this game. The graphics are very good but not the best I've seen. The main problem with the game is the frame rate issues!! I would have rather waited another month or two for this games frame rate issues to be sorted. This doesnt stop me playing and enjoying it though. My honest opinion is the game is worth buying because it has many different twists in it which is different to all you other ww2 shooters, dont believe all the 7/10 reviews because it deserves a better rating than that!

Beautiful looking game. If you have played the CoD:WaW beta and been let down ( like me ) then defanatly go for this. The single player is very gripping intense. The way you play the game is different you dnt run in guns blazing, you take your time and flank your enemy, using your squads to help you achieve this. Well worth buying !

One for the more serious first person shooter

I loved the first two games on the PC and couldnt wait for the latest installment. Right from the original BIA games they have suffered from being compared to Run'n'gun Call of duty type games from the big software houses ( with big marketing budgets) . This game should not be compared to call of duty or third person RTS games, take no notice of comparisons with COD4 or 5, run and gun games, think of it as Advanced Warfighter set in WW2 but unlike AW its set in real events and you have real capable enemy.

Hells highway single player is the game really, you can pretty much discount the MP experience. If you want more than just blasting hundreds of bad guys with siz guns, but want to think a bit about tactics a little bit and your into a more realistic experience then go for this. Think of its as a game version of the HBO mini series, Band of Brothers and your thinking of the right setting and quality. once you get into Flanking anf insihing your enemy after you have suppressed his machine gun posts you'll find COD a pretty boring 'kids' game.

Like AW because its more tactical and there are different ways of finishing your enemy it has great replay value. Also if your remotely into history its laden with real content of what happened in Sep 1944.
