I really did try to get into this game as it has an intriguing story line, inventive weapons, decent graphics [even for nowadays standards] and occasional puzzles to get your brain working. Problem is they took all these great features and destroyed them with terrible controls. It's so clunky and awkward. I can't get my head round it. It seems like they were too ambitious in creating a very realistic game (e.g. manually combining items and changing the batteries on your torch when they run out of power) and because of this, the gameplay suffered greatly.

Do buy it if your up for the added challenge of mastering the controls. I got a couple of chapters into the game, gave up and switched to a different FPS/Shooter where I could really understand and appreciate how much better a game is with decent controls.

This game is great fun to play, the achievements are cool, the layout of the game is well done with the driving scenes breaking up the shooting parts. A totally underated game which is well worth the money. I totally recommend this game!! In fairness, it isn't as good as Resident Evil, but what is????
