Graphics, gameplay, duck and cover system there all good. But the missions are so repetetive, the handling of the bikes is awful and i have $500,000 on the game and i have nothing to buy!!! once you've completed it and your bored of the online play(which is awesome) then there's nothing to do!!!!! basically this game is over rated but still a very good game!!
Disappointing

Compared to San Andreas this is a massive step backwards.
The graphics are mind blowing - especially the water. Its almost worth the price of the game just to take a speed boat down the river at night time. The reflection of the city on the water and the Liberty City skyline in the background is quite simply a masterpeice. However the graphics, in my opinion, dont make an outstanding GTA game - its much more down to the gameplay. Just look at GTA 1! The gameplay is still as fresh as it was when it first appeared - something that Rockstar have neglected to appreciate since San Andreas. Part of the beauty of San Andreas was that you had a gigantic map, but at no point did it become boring trying to make your way across it. There was always a plane or helicopter or even a quad bike or bmx close to hand which made it fun again as soon as it became even slightly tedious. Not so in this game. If you want to get to the other side of the medium-sized map and you dont fancy taking something relatively boring like a car or a van then you simply take a cab, skip the journey and your there. No parachuting out of an F-15 and skillfully landing directly on a mission marker here im afraid.
And that is why it gets boring after a couple of weeks. Its gone too sensible; almost too realistic. Yes you can steal a cop car and access the police computer, yes you can call for a fire truck on your mobile phone, yes every shot fired leaves a bullet hole in immaculate detail. But so what? In previous titles, after the story had finished and all the objectives have been done there was still all the fun left over which kept drawing you back in, keeping the disc in your console. The havoc of having the army after you when you get 6 stars, stealing a tank, finding the jumbo jet and having 2 fighter jets on your tail after you fly over restricted air space. And then afterwards take a monster truck into the desert and discover an abandoned town. This is what made San Andreas awesome. Its not your average gangsters typical day at work but it was extremely good fun! Here, you are left with watching a guy sweep up outside the Clucking Bell. Great detail but boring as hell.
good game but some flaws

Well grand theft auto has always been my favorite games but i feel that this one was a little bit of a dissapointment sure this game has loads of great new feaures but they took away some of the best bits in the old gtas i think when they were trying to make it more realistic they took out some great parts for example they took out planes, parachutes customizing your cars the maps used to be so much bigger but they have also added in the multiplayer which is a very good feature but i just feel that gta has been let down
Worth it, Time killing

When i asked my mum to buy me this game she wasnt to sure she said like all the others ill get bored of it in a week an want a new one, but this game has proved her wrong im not even half way through the storyline but iv played it for 59 hours and only died 3 times, I love this ghame theres so much to do, only downside is tht its onli 1 player so u cnt have to peeps in the same house on live and I also think Co-op should be slapped in, yet overall its awsum so go buy it now
Amazin game!

If you got into playing GTA:San Andreas and loved it then this game is definately for you. The graphics are immense, they are obviously best on a HD tv though! I've read so much about this game before it came out and I was like everybody to jump on the hype train, but when the game came out it was just what I expected. The story is something out of Hollywood and so is the acting, Niko is perfectly portrayed! The game still keeps its humour, the radio stations are particularly funny (WKTT!). Its the same social/political themed jokes that we all came to love in the GTA series. My only gripe with the game being a pedantic so and so is that this game is supposed to be a close match of New York however is doesn't seem to be that busy. Yeah there are a maybe 10-20 cars on the street at the same time in the quieter parts of the city but places like Times Square you'd expect some more cars but it just doesn't seem like the real New York. Also there can be some issues with pop up when driving at high speeds and some delay in texture loading but other than these somewhat tivial details, this is a game that any gamer can't afford to miss!
People moan too much

What did you expect? It has so much detail packed into it, such fluid animation, and a lot of fun. Sure it may have shortcomings like a forgettable radio list and some tedious minigames, but it's the biggest revolution in video gaming this year and for a long while. When Saints Row came out, the world wasn't in an uproar - they treated it as a filler for GTA's release - the real thing is far superior. The shooting mechanic really adds interesting gameplay to the missions, and some of the locations where the shooting takes place are fantastic and show a great use of a great world. Quit picking the game apart and enjoy it for what it is - a graphical and interactive game experience like none prior to it. Name a single other game where the same revolutionary gameplay has been used - you'll find nothing matches its calibre. A definite 5 star from me
From Ps2 to 360
