Lots of Halo 3 Beta reviews here - What we've seen is three maps that are unfinished in the game. It looks excellent but in reality this really is the tip of the iceburg as to what Halo 3 is going to be. So, thought I'd hit you with facts of what the story is based on and some of the stuff we'll see in campaign.

Cortana, your AI that jumped aboard your suit in Halo 1 remains trapped in the hive mind of the Flood known as the graveyard. The Elite's, following the event's in Halo 2 have split from the covenenant and allied themselves with the humans. The brutes, now take the elite's place within the covenenant as the guardians of the deranged leaders, the prophets... who want to take the covenant on a 'great journey' by firing the Halo rings which were created by the forerunners to eradicate all living sentient life in the galaxy to kill the flood.

At the end of Halo 2, the master chief is seen entering Earth's orbit in an ancient Forerunner vessel with Earth being overrun by the covenenant. He's their to finish the fight. The Halo rings around the galaxy have been primed and are ready to fire destroying all life in the galaxy.

The covenant are at Earth to find something ancient and Forerunner buried deep beneath the sands of Africa.

So, the game will have on line Co-op and will take in loads of environments. Including Halo rings, Desert Earth, Inside of ships and snow bound missions. There are new vehicles including a snow mobile. New weapons, such as a spartan laser.

Why is Halo so big... It's the story... It will be like controlling a blockbuster movie and the developers at bungie are confident that this will be the best looking game on Xbox.

Will it live up to the hype - I hope so. The multiplayer is excellent but the campaign story mode is where halo needs to be outstanding.

    Here's hoping.

i truly dont understand how people can argue that halo 3 is poor first of all lets get the facts straight how can you argue with 250,000 different people logging on to the halo 3 beta everyday that it was out?? second the knew weapons, maps, characters etc how is there no change?? sure the graphics arent the best at the moment but that was only a test to see if there were any flaws in the online play!! the graphics will improve for the real game. most people are comparing the beta to halo 2 which isnt really a good idea as we have not seen all oif the maps and all of the new game types yet!! this will undoubtably be the game of 2007 and will blow all other games out of the water. if you dont buy you will be missing out because all of your friends will be on halo while your stuck playing with yourself (pun unintended)!! this will break all records for sales and pre orders and therefore it is a must buy!!

BEST GAME FOR THE XBOX 360 SO FAR

I have just received my halo 3 game today and started playing this game , and I have to say that this the best halo game out of the three. The cutscenes and graphics are amazing, also the levels are alot longer and more challenging than previous games.

The HD graphics really bring out the detail of the environments and master chief looks extremely detailed in HD.

If anyone has an Xbox 360 or is buying one then this game must be your next buy. It was worth every penny.

    I give it a score of 10/10

     Its not about the campaign

The actual game is not the reason to buy this, its the multiplayer. H2 still has half a million players everyday online. I have played the beta and I loved it. This is gonna be awsome, saved game films, file sharing, 4 player co-op. - PS3 - No thanks.
