Turok is an epic, story-driven first-person shooter set on a dark, mysterious planet in the future. Players take on the role of Joseph Turok, a former black ops commando, now part of an elite special forces squad, known as Whiskey Company, which is on a mission to take down a war criminal - Turok's former mentor, Roland Kane. Set on a planet inhabited by Kane and his Mendel-Gruman Corporation soldiers, Turok must use his elite military training to elude Kane's well-trained army and the ravenous, unpredictable dinosaurs, huge insects and other massive creatures that populate the environment.
  • Dark, gritty sci-fi world showcased through next-gen gameplay, high-resolution graphics and immersive sound
  • Humans are your primary enemy - highly-trained soldiers challenge players with sophisticated A.I. and advanced tactics
  • Encounter genetically-altered dinosaurs and other deadly creatures - trick them into attacking your enemies or each other
  • Choose your combat style - obliterate enemies with excessive firepower, or utilise fast stealth weapons (such as the bow and knife) there are multiple ways to survive depending on strategy
  • Operate a fleet of high-tech military vehicles
  • Engage in robust online multiplayer modes

 Rubbish.

I have no idea what demo the other 2 reviewers were playing, but it wasn't the same one as me. It features:

Terrible AI
Controller delay
Pathetic, weedy sound
A frame rate to make your eyes bleed
Generic characters with awful dialogue
Bad weapons.

Yes it's just a demo, but I seriously doubt they will fix everything in time for release.

If I could, this would be a 0-star review.

 Not as I remember

This isnt Turok!
I got this on the premise that it would slightly resemble the original games on N64.... But it doesnt... Turok 2: Seeds of Evil will remain the best Turok in my opinion, closely followed by the original.
I like the single player mode on this one, however at times it gets annoying, like if you die and have to restart from a cut scene, you cant skip it... That just really grinds my gears!!
As i FPS fan I have given it the time it deserves but i doubt i'll play it again!
Tried the multiplayer a few times but im back on COD4 cos i dont see how that can be beaten for sheer fun!!
So if your looking for a new FPS, id recommend it when the price drops, but dont get too excited!!

 Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Alpha-male commando grunts shooting monsters; yeah, there's NOTHING else like that on the market. I don't care if this IS cheap, it's painfully average.

 Extremely FUN...and pretty good too.

Well..the game has alright graphics, amazing scenery (just look up when your outdoors), interesting combat, well thought through combat cutscenes and an overall fun gameplay.

If your looking for a realistic shooter dont look here, although it may not be the game-of-the-year type thing. Its still a greatly fun and interesting game.

 Quite good

Ignor the review below, this game is no where near as bad as this guy is making out to be. The graphics are very good as it is powered by the unreal engine. The characters remind you of the one's from gears of war, they create a gritty atmosphere. The first 5 minutes are rather boring walking around the cave killing raptors, but when you get out into the open, its great fun. Mainly because your killing people this time instead of dinosaurs. But its really clever the way that you can lure raptors into your enemies path so they kill the enmie and not you. And the stealth works really well too. Overall based on this demo this is a very intresting game, my only issue is the aiming, it doesent work that well, but you soon forget about it.
