  "Great package let down by The Ballad of Gay Tony."

I loved GTA IV and when I heard that the overpriced DLC was converting onto disc, I knew I had to have it. I started off playing The Ballad of Gay Tony and I can honestly say that it is awful. It is so boring and I lost interest about 2 hours into it. The Lost and Damned on the other hand is absolutely awesome! The bikes are a pleasure to drive around in. The missions in TLAD are pretty sweet too, ranging from helping out your gang members to infiltrating rival gangs clubhouses. It took me about 9 hours to complete TLAD which is great length for DLC. I've heard that it takes the same length for TBoGT but I don't know because it was so bad I didn't bother to finish. The achievements are pretty cool too. Overall, a great package lt down by The Ballad of Gay Tony. In my humble opinion, buy it for The Lost and Damned! It's up there with the likes of Fallout 3 DLC, Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta!

I like so many people really loved gta 4, so when i heard they were releasing some DLC, i was really happy, so when i got the games i got right into TLAD and having been watching Sons Of Anarchy, i thought i was playing the game of the show, A brilliant change from playing as Nico. Then i got onto TBOGT and loved this game immensly, everything about this game is so so so good, the only negatives of the games is that you can't buy different clothes, but in your safehouse in TBOGT you have got aout 4-5 different outfitsand if you do the nightclub misssions you get to to wear the smart black suit, the only other negative is the 6-7 helicopter missions on TBOGT, they are pretty annoying, but don't let that put you off.
Go out and buy it, that's all i've gotta say.
TLAD = 4.6/5
TBOGT = 4.8/5.

love this game especially TBOGT. Brings the fun back into gaming, i think i enjoy it so much because i wasn't expecting much from it unlike gta4 which dissapointed me a bit. Buy this game, well worth the money

i got a xbox 360 for christmas and i also got this with it, from the moment i played it i already knew it was going to be a great game! iv completed both the stories which doenst suprise me as iv been addicted to them! u can complete each story in around 6-10 hours. which is super long for downloadable content games!! thats 12-20 hours of gameplay!! online wise you could easily get another 5 hours out of it. its just a shame that they arent making a 3rd one! :( but all in all this is one of the best 2 games ive ever played!! and there DLC!! that really says something! 10/10!

  Great addition, however...

...I completed The Ballad of Gay Tony in under 10 hours. As much as I thoroughly enjoyed the missions, I was a little disappointed with the lack of choice. GTA IV had several missions where you could make your own choice of what to do, i.e. Kill an enemy or go to Kate before Roman's wedding. TBOGT doesn't provide this choice, but there are other things you can do, such as sky diving. A lot of the missions include helicopters, which I'm not fond of, but the gameplay and graphics are amazing. I also enjoyed the freedom to work as security in one of Gay Tony's nightclubs.

I'm now working my way through The Lost and Damned. So far, so good. The gang of bikers, the rival gang wars, the Clubhouse hangout. I have no complaints upto now, but I'm guessing this one is as short as TBOGT. Amazing game overall though. I'd definitely recommend buying this one.

Where these titles lack the bravado and character arcs of the original GTA 3 they are not lesser games, oh no.
What they add, particularly TBOGT is fun.
Right from the off you can be running around causing chaos knicking helicopters and generally being a bad ass and its great!!!!!
The city is still as alive and vibrant as ever but now it seems even more of an adult playground due to the mission structures and goals.
Technologically its not as in yer face as it was when it first came out but the game engine still is strong.
Overall a very worthy standalone purchase indeed.
