SAW is a third-person perspective, survival horror game based on the SAW film franchise. SAW features many of the deadly mechanical traps seen in the film, as well as terrifying new ones. Players will pit their wits against Jigsaw as they navigate his world in an attempt to evade and escape his gruesome traps, while also struggling against his minions in brutal combat by using weapons found within the environment.

The story centres on Detective David Tapp who awakens in a decrepit, abandoned asylum. He has been captured by his longtime nemesis, Jigsaw. Obsessed with catching this serial killer, Tapp's mission has consumed him and ruined his family, resulting in divorce, mental imbalance, and abandonment. Worse yet, this frantic hunt destroyed Tapp's career while he watched his long-time friend and partner get killed by one of Jigsaw's traps. Now Jigsaw has the upper hand and has captured the detective. Tapp must play a deadly game - the likes of which he has been investigating for years - to escape, and in order to do so he must survive the lethal traps and puzzles that Jigsaw has put in place for him and others. But each victim has a dark connection to Tapp. Will Tapp save them? Can he survive his obsession to find the Jigsaw killer?

This game wasnt what I expected. its actually pretty decent. There are the odd annoyance but it doesnt detract from the game.
You are a cop trapped by the jigsaw and forced to play a series of puzzle games to survive. Its a dark creepy asylum you work your way through with others trapped after you to get the key out of your body. There are booby traps aswell, shotguns on trip wires. If you run everywhere you'll get your head blown off. There are small puzzles like redirecting gas and sorting electrical wiring but the bigger games are fun as there is usually someone you have to save in a set amount of time so it adds to the pressure.
You have to look for clues to help you out, peeping through holes in the walls and matching letters in reflections. Its been well thought out an deserves to be up there with other top survival horror games.

Great game, wish it was longer

Bought this game cause was on offer, couldnt justify paying full price as i heard its short. actually it took me one day to finish it. it actually was a really fun game, got a bit repetitive towards end but the story is great, the traps are good and well thought out, fighting system is abit flawed. if the game was longer i could of kept playing it and prob wouldnt of hammered the game in one day. the trade in value for this game is still high as well so buy it finish it, experience a great game and then trade in. you wont regret it.

 very disappointing.

loved the films (well, the first 2, before they got ridiculously silly and were quantity over quality, gore over story). so i thought this would be good. i really gave this a go, but after an hour (see? i did try!) i was just unbelievably bored. and the gameplay? well, when you have to fight, the controls are pretty pathetic.good idea, naff execution. shame.

 addictive and awesome!

saw this game for about 40 pounds a year back thought it would be awful. saw it a few week back for 14.99 and gave it ago, ive been addicted ever since, its a very good well thought out story that has u scared at every corner (especially the scary guy in the pig mask).

the puzzles can sometimes be frustrating but can be figured out with some thought. the traps stay very true to the film and are challenging, very good graphics and game play.

would recommend this game to anyone who likes a scary game and a challenging one i cant wait to start playing the second one!!

 excellent
