 both really good expansions

These two expansions are an excellent addition to fallout 3 and in an easy to install compact disc. Broken Steel continues the storyline of the original game whilst raising the level cap to 30 amongst other things; whilst Point Lookout provides players with a whole new completely free-roaming area to explore. The spoils from both are fairly good and the storyline in PL is srong however i only gave this expansion pack 4/5 simply because i felt the gameplay was a little too linear like the rest of the game and fairly drab, the character encounters are also very samey and unexciting and the music tracks are dissapointing. Other than that i would reccommend gamers who enjoy the full game to purchase this expansion.

 Buy it

I agree with everyone else who wrote. It adds more playing hours and and exciting end to the main story line along with a few new usefull weapons. Point lookout just opens up another map about the same size as the capital wasteland with new quests enemys and weapons. With such decent price aswell its worth it.

can anyone tell me if you buy fallout 3 and the expansion pack seperately or if you get it all on this disk (the game and the expansion pack)?

I have played The Pitt and Anchorage, both reasonable expansions, unique and adds on extra hours to the game and making it that bit more exciting, however these 2 expansions have made one of the best RPG games even more special, it has extended the main story line aswell as adding new quests and side missions, broken steel has added tons of harder enemies, and made one of the easiest creatures in the game made another version which is one of the harder creatures to fight, added new weapons, clothing and items for a game the extended story line is exciting and much like a modern war game, the new perks and levels make it that bit special where you can get new perks and build your character to become even stronger etc. if you was already bored of fallout 3 done everything you can possibly do and played through it more than once for the karma achievements and different routes you can take well broken steel and point lookout out will not dissapoint you and will make you addicted to the game once again, point lookout is allot more challenging than the other expansions (excluding mothership zeta as i havent played that one as of yet) with stronger enemies and unique missions, this expansion pack will not dissapoint, i reccomend it!

Two of the best DLC packs

I agree with some of the other reviewers in that this pack contains two of the best DLC packs available for Fallout. If you want to breathe new life into a completed game, buy this and you won't be sorry!

Bored of Fallout yet? This'll help..

I, like many others, got bored of Fallout 3 some time ago. I'd done every quest, collected every bobblehead and so much more so for me this game was over. Bethesda announced that they were releasing DLC for the game and suddenly it was back on. I cannot reccommend this highly enough, in my opinion the best two DLC packs and they add about 10 hours of gameplay not to mention a higher level cap and new items. Buy it you won't be disappointed

 its good

After buying both the expansions seperately and playing throught them they are really good and should be a definnite buy but i cant help but think that they are making you pay to finish a game that you payed for in the first place i think all the dlc's are good but i dont think brocken steel should have been one of them i think it should have shiped with the game

 excellent

These are excellent additions to the game, in fact i think all the dlc (i have them all) are a very good add on and different experiences to the game, the only one i didnt like much was mothership zeta. But this pack includes two great dlc. Fallout 3 really is a game for true gamers, not just weekend wannabe's.
