Wow! I expected this to be a good racer after playing Codemasters' game, GRID, on the 360 but I was not ready for this. There are a ton of events and cars to race in this game. My personal favourite being the Lancer Evolution IX. There are also a lot of events in career mode which keeps you playing. There are multiplayer modes in this game where up to 100 people can race. When I went online there were about 17 people in the one race which is pretty good for a 2006 game with a sequel.Graphically, this game is one of the best from it's year. Realistic damage and effects make this game a pleasure to look at. The gameplay is fun and simple. It may seem tricky at first but when you get used to it, it's fine. The cars sound very real too but I preferred to listen to some Metallica whilst playing. The achievements are pretty much bog standard and if you're playing it on rookie, they're pretty much all attainable. There are a few online achievements and some to drive in excess of 500 & 1000 miles, which would be a bore saying as I only clocked about 400 when I finished career. Yet another enjoyable racer from Codemasters and I will definitely be looking into getting DiRT 2.

really good game thousands of cars and tracks. it is easy after you get used to it but its the best game every!!!! MUST BUY

I had the very first colin McRae Rally on my PC years ago and it was great, but this is fantastic. I'm on the third tier of the career mode and the learning curve is a lot better than other driving games.

With hill climbs, sprints, rallies, rally cross, crossover special stages and other disciplines, the game covers a lot of ground with Evos, Imprezas, Clios, Puntos, buggies, Lancias and plenty of other old and new vehicles. Apart from the slightly tedious Dakar-style truck stages, this mix keeps the game fresh enough for hour after hour of gameplay.

This might not be the latest version of the game, but for a tenner, the graphics and gameplay is just as good as plenty of newer games.

This game honestly is one of the best driving games i have ever played.
It isn't too short or too long either and then aswell as the career mode you can then advance on to championships to earn more achievements.

The only sad thing is the online community isnt booming anymore, and around 4 achievements are online ones... Other then that, this game is perfection!

A very good game, lots of vehicle types so you don't have to play rally, career mode is good, graphics are better than other Colin McRae games, and the others have been brilliant. Even achievements are all achieveable if you put in the time.

A top rally game a must buy for any racing fan alot of variation in race modes,the game mixes it up very well. Graphics are one of the best out there, with very good damage,makes u want to take more care of your car as the peformense will go down.The tracks are very good nicely spaced out with good views if you have time for them:} overall a very good entertaining game that will keep u wanting more.The only bad thing is colin is no longer with us such a shame but he was a true hero peace colin,Hope there will be another dirt game someday
