geometry wars 4/5 - one of the classic and original xbox live arcade games, still played today and highly addictive,no2 is way better tho.

wik fable of souls - 3/5 - interesting platformer with a twist, feels like the old oddworld games and it is original to say the least!

bejewelled 2 5/5 - one of my all time fave puzzle games ever and the best on this disc, hard as nails but very addicitve!

outpost kaloki x 2/5 - i didnt really play this as it wasnt my thing, suppose its good if your a strategy fan.

backgammon 2/5 - if you like backgammon then cool,if not its enough to put you to sleep lol

texas hold em 3/5 - i dont undestand poker really and prob never will but i still played this alot on live and it was fun actually!

Eclectic, fun mix of Arcade titles

I own this and also managed to get my hands on the other Live arcade disc that comes bundled with the Xbox Arcade console package i.e Pacman CE, Feeding Frenzy, Boom Boom Rocket.

It goes without saying that Unplugged is a fun collection of games Geometry Wars being the standout title with the rest ablely supporting with varying degrees of addictiveness and fun-hair pullingly frustrating achievements.

Whats also apparent though is that the Live experience has moved on quality wise. There are games like Sensible World of Soccer, Castlevania, the aforementioned Pacman CE which is super addictive, N+ a great remake of a flash based PC freeware game, and the classic Dreamcast title Rez which quality wise eclipse the titles included in this package. Even though this collection represents good value there are cheaper ways to get your hands on some older retro goodness for your Xbox - Capcom Classics, Midway Arcade and Taito Legends for example offer much more in the way of games per package, a nice frontend and are genuinely retro. They also offer concept art and the backstory to some of the games.

Unplugged is a good collection but Microsoft should take note that there not really showcasing the Live Arcade experience of today with this collection of games and get another Volume out there mixing up genuine retro arcade, remakes and original titles plus get some XNA developed stuff on there.

  Good game mixture

The whole point in this is for people who do not have Xbox Live so they can still have the option to play these games. Having them on a disc is good and it frees up some HDD space.

Considerind that Poker itself is 800 Microsoft points(msp), as are a couple of the others, it is a bit cheaper than buying the games off Live. I have worked it out to come to over £20.

All the games are decent and I think there is atleast one in there for everyone. I personally like them all. You get Outpost Kaloki X - a management type game, Poker as you probably know acard game. Backgammon a board game which I hadn't played up till now. Wiki an adventure style 2d platformer. Bejewelled 2 puzzle game and Geometry Wars which is a classis 2d shooter. You also get some demos of other Arcade games on the disc.

I suppose it just boils down to whether or not these are the Live Arcade games you want. they are good and are well worth the money.

  Not really worth it

One of the best things about Live Arcade games is that you can save them to your hard drive and not have to change discs. That is not the case with these games. Bejewelled, Geometry Wars and Texas Holdem are the only ones you'll play at any length and (I haven't worked the price out to know if this is true) I'd guess it would be cheaper and more convenient to just download these from the Marketplace.
