Saints Row 2 brings true freedom to open-world gaming. Players can play as who they want, how they want, and with whomever they want in this sequel to the much acclaimed and tremendously successful Saints Row. Set years after the original, the player finds himself in a Stilwater both familiar and strange and challenged with bringing the Saints back as the rightful kings of Stilwater and bringing vengeance to those who wronged him.
  • Suitable for 18 years and over. Not for sale to persons under age 18. By purchasing this product, you declare that you are 18 years of age and over.

Limitless Customisation: Play as fully customisable characters that are male, female or something in between. Vehicles can be visually customised as well as performance tuned. Cribs and even gangs all have an amazing degree of detailed customisation options.

Multiplayer: Co-op full story campaign has seamless integration, for example one player drives while the other shoots. Competitive multiplayer pushes the boundaries of immersion in a living Stillwater environment fully populated with police, innocent bystanders and rival gangs.

Killer Combat and Awesome Vehicles: Planes, helicopters, motorcycles, boats and cars can be piloted and used as weapons. On the ground new combat options include melee, fine aim, and human shield.

Freedom to Explore: More missions, activities, diversions, races, weapons, vehicles, cribs, city districts, and interiors than ever before. Over 40 story missions with additional bonus missions take place in a transformed Stilwater that is over 50% larger than before.

         Awesome game

This is infinitely more fun on single-player than GTA. The missions are fun and more varied, the customisation options are vast (cars, clothes, appearance, cribs etc), and the weapons are great fun to use. Different vehicles such as cars, bikes, helicopters, planes, buses, trucks and boats are available, although only the driving vehicles can be customised.

Appearance options are superb, with socks, shoes, trousers, belts, undershirts, overshirts, coats, gloves, necklaces, wrist options, hats and eyewear. Astronaut anyone?!

The real magic of this game does not lie in the multiplayer, in fact it is quite a weak multiplayer when compared to GTA4. The magic of this game is that anything you do in the single-player can also be done in co-op mode. For example, if you have to steal cars on a list, you can drive to one end of the city to find the vehicle while your friend drives to the opposite end of the city to find a different vehicle! All of the missions can be completed alone or in co-op.

You can also buy music tracks and customer playlists. You can use the mobile phone to call in ambulances or even have one of your customised vehicles delivered to you by one of your gang members.

There really are too many things to talk about, the vast array of options is incredible. The downsides are that the graphics are not as good as GTA (although they are still good, just a bit more cartoony) and the multiplayer does not entertain for long. Without a doubt, worth buying if you like the older GTA games like San Andreas.

Don't look at it as a GTA rip-off.

If we were to compare everything to GTA, most games would look pretty inferior (although I must say, I couldn't get on with those controls on GTA4). I have played GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas. Yet this game still has something they didn't.

Yes, the plot, characters and scenarios are not realistic. But why would you want realism in a video game? Escape it. This game is fun. The dialogue is humorous. Heck, even the characters are likable (with celebrity voices I might add).

Yes, the graphics are inferior and not as crisp and realistic as GTA but in this game, you are given the chance to CREATE YOUR OWN CHARACTER (that's right, a big selling point to me). You are given the ability to create anyone you like. You can even create females (which makes it a bit funny when your character takes on crime lords). So obviously, to incorporate the character you make, the graphics are not gonna be excellent, but they're still pretty decent (higher standard than PS2).

And the money you spend is definitely not wasted on gameplay time. My file is currently 50 hours. This is not because this game is impossible to beat or I'm an awful gamer. It's because there is so much to do, that if you don't feel like doing the assigned mission, you can do another activity, including: Hitman, Mayhem, Insurance Fraud, and the Septic Avenger.

You can even co-op play over xbox live (which you will need to do at some point to get some of the achievements).

Bottom line: This game is worth it.

         pure crazy fun

this game may be seen as a clone of gta and at its core it is but this game just amps up the crazyness to 11 its full of crazy superhuman pimps fast cars sweet missions and fully co-op my frends love this game because its not seriouse you can have a laugh do what you want with a great storyline and variety of weapons and now different fighting styles this game keeps you entertained for hours just doing the funny missions with hilariouse characters also all of the cutscenes in this game were brilliant with loads of emotion and action unlike gta4 were all the emotion seemed stripped. all in all if your looking for a fast paced action thats totaly over the top this is the game for

I know the third is out now but number 2 is the one I'm still more interested in, things are pretty crazy but not hoverbike crazy like number 3! And Co-op is a blast! I had this game years ago but never completed due to never having a co-op partner ( I prefer Co-op but can be done in single player) I love this game :D

         So good!

Recently bought this game and i have got to say it really is a top notch game. Forget about the "realistic" GTA IV when playing this game. Im fed up of hearing about games not being realistic enough! After all, they are just video games! The story line is along the lines of mafia ii, THAT GOOD! BUY BUY BUY!
