Reduce the internal operating temperature of the 360 while prolonging the consoles lifespan. The Intercooler 360 is a snap on cooling attachment that easily connects to the Xbox 360 to significantly reduce the internal heat of the console. The Intercooler 360 provides increased air flow throughout the 360 which allows the internal circuitry to perform at cooler temperatures and last longer. No internal modification of the Xbox 360 is required. A pass through power connection utilizes the existing Xbox 360 power supply negating the need for an extra AC adaptor. The unit also powers on and off automatically with 360 and the intercoolers small size will fit in tight spaces like entertainment centers with your 360 displayed in either horizontal or vertical format.
  • Significantly reduce the internal temperature for added reliability and console life
  • Easily snaps onto the back of the console. No internal modification needed
  • Runs off the existing Xbox 360 power supply and powers on and off automatically
  • Works with the 360 in vertical or horizontal position and fits easily into entertainment centers

This is without a doubt one of the worst products ever made for a game system. It is incredibly dangerous, and can destroy your Xbox 360 randomly. In my experience of it, after a while of gaming, the 3 red lights appeared on the console and we could smell smoke. The unit had failed and was about to catch fire.

The product has a good idea behind it, but fails woefully. Drawing Power from the mains means the electricity actually running into the system is reduced, so the Internal Fans run slower. Now, the Intercooler is designed to refresh the air circulating inside the case, but has no effect on the heat the processors run at. As you can imagine, less internal fan speed means it runs hotter meaning... bang. A certified Explosive 360.

Nyko have gained a bad reputation for releasing terrible products which seem to have passed no safety checks whatsoever, and are incredibly dangerous. Take this warning Xbox users. Microsoft have seen the damage these awful things have done, and now if you use one of these Nyko devices, your warranty is voided.

In short, the Intercooler doesn't work and only contributes to the overheating of the system. To put it technically, you'll be paying out £270 in the end (£250 for a 360 Premium, £20 for this horror of horrors) and only get some cheap smoke effects out of it. Not good at all.

This accessory only works when it blows cold air into your xbox, if you have a warm room then it will blow hot air into the 360 and then it will overheat and get the 3 red lights. I would advise only using this by an open window or just dont use it at all.

Great if you want 3 red lights on your xbox. Thanks alot Nyko

Bought one of these fans & fitted it to my Xbox360, simple plug & play. Turned the xbox on and off I went, all working fine & me thinking I was doing my Xbox a favour. 3 weeks later I sat down to play and the Xbox wouldn't switch on, after checking fuses etc i tried disconnecting the cooler and plugging the power lead straight in to the xbox, Xbox worked fine. Re-fitted the cooler, Xbox wouldn't switch on. Messed around for half an hour cleaning contacts & wiggleing things to try to get the cooler to work. Finaly got it working, Xbox powered up then loaded up my game sat down to play. Half way thru a level 3 RED lights appeared and my Xbox never worked again. checked my Xbox purchase date and it was 2 months out of warranty so had to fork out £200 on a new one. Not a happy bunny. Thanks Nyko. shame you can't give it no stars

 Prolongs the xboxs life?

when my first xbox broke (3 flashing red lights) i thought i would get an intercooler for my second to stop this from happening again. everything was fine until one day (after playing on the console for 3 mins) it shut down and had 3 flashing red lights again. i only had my xbox for two months so it didn't break because of too much use. i strongly advise you stay away from this if you wish to keep your xbox alive.

I have had this since christmas 2006 and it has worked great it attach's itself very well and seems part of the actual 360 and it keeps it very cool you can feel the change in temp.Compared to the fusion for the ps3 which is just rubbish , this is excellent 10/10
