Terrible- Add on for Lips 1 and there are issues!!

This is a fair and balanced review of Lips No1 Hits- you may think is harse, but please read on- there are issues that you need to be aware of:

1/ You can use your lips 1 tracks from the original game- BUT you MUST swap discs in game- not good if having it at a party, as the load times take an age

2/ Not all previous DLC is currently working in this game. The game as of 1/11/09 is currently two weeks old and has already been patched twice, but still the problems exist- not good when people have paid money for content that either does not work and/or they have to pay for again (in some cases) to download.

3/ Content packs have already been released- supposed to be no.1 hits so who the heck is "colby caits"?? (UK users?)

4/ still only 2 singers can use mics- so don't bother buying the mic pack if you are a previous lips user (unless you want cheap mics for something like Beatles Rock band)

There are a lot of annoyed users on the lips forum on the official site and the disc swap issue seems to be the main issue/gripe.

At the moment, can't recommend this title- mine was accepted back by play as "not working as advertised". The Lips forums are urging people to post honest reviews at places where we bought the game from. Maybe once the problems are ironed out the game will be good, however knowing that INIS/Microsoft had plenty of time to make this game work properly before releasing it and their track record in responding to user queries, i wouldn't hold my breath.

So 2 out of 5 - hope my reasons have been honest- I don't want others having to have the dissapointment that we had in our house with this title.

Play- please post this review, as I feel users/buyer need to be aware of the above issues.

Right dont get me wrong this has the potential to be an excellent game, what you dont tend to find out about this game is the delay in mic calibration (yes the game does compensate for this but only very slightly and does not eliminate it completely) basically on some TVs including mine which is the Samsung 6 series so hardly old technology you find that there is a hundreth of a second or so delay in the sound coming from your mout through the wireless mic, process through your xbox into your TV and sent through the speakers to you hearing it, not a big problem you might think but when you try and sing a song with you keeping up with the song and the sound catching you up it gets not only confusing where you are but also is a massive pain in the bottom. I tried this on my other TV the sony aquaos and this too seemed to have similar problems but much less subtle, I am going to try running it through a sepetate audio sources i,e, amplifier or subwoofer to see if it makes any difference not processing through my TV otherswise I can see me never playing on this due to being frustrated.

Good points you can add Karaoke Cds to this and sing through the xbox like a karaoke just with no lyrics, so get practicing or print them out!
