AWFUL!
looks amazing was hyped for this and headset both disapointed me big time.
LB n RB you basically have to bash to work, there too far from the triggers, the extra buttons thing sounds amazing but its the worst unless you have the most skinny fingers going, lights are awsome thats it , noffin else impressed.
feels good when holding it but when you start to play and have to turn quick its a epic fail !
A lot of thought and effort has gone into this. The triggers are amazing and will work brilliantly with any racing game, the action on them is fantastic. The analogues are smooth as a PS3's yet still have that good xbox snap, despite not having grips they do have a good indentation for your thumbs which encourages you to hold it how it's been designed to (index fingers on triggers, middle fingers on Combat buttons). They also light up bright green underneath which is "pretty feckin' cool" according to my girlfriend.
I can see why someone said the RB/LB was stiff but it's just a case of getting a feel for the controller, I quite liked the positioning after 2hrs play, they're like square buttons on a platform above the triggers. The start/back buttons are nicely raised and are pressed with ease. But like any hardware, micro**** or otherwise there have been instances of faulty product.
Now for me the main selling point was the two "combat" buttons on the back of the controller, they're small yet easily pressed with your middle finger when your index fingers are on the triggers. The way they work is by switches located above them out of the way of your moving hands. Combat1 on the left of the controller can be mapped to the left thumbstick click, A or B. (Great for Halo fans as you can now look and melee at the same time without giving your hands athritis!). Combat2 can be mapped to right thumb stick click, X or Y. These could work with a variety of games, so far i've only tried shooter and fighting but can't wait to play a couple of RTS' and Racers!
Oh and sure it's wired but at least the wires covered in rope and it comes with a handy (small) case! Overall I'm very pleased. Any questions mail me on live.

First opinion was that the controller was a little flimsy and not very well thought out. I found my thumb right one in particular was sliding off the thumb stick as the surface has no rubber coating as the official one. I also found the remapped buttons on the back were a little too hard to use, but after a while I found the controller was a great improvement and loved it. The paint job and added lights are a really nice feature and the triggers and shoulder buttons are greatly improved from the official competition. Although Madcatz could not get the rights to Microsofts proprietary wireless technology, I dont mind the fact that its not wireless. The fact that it's wired and has a Corduroy coating on the wire adds to it I feel. At least if you run out of batteries you have a backup.
Mint controller.
other people seemed to put 'stiff 'RB and LB' but this must be on certain controllers as mine works perfectly, the whole controller works as a controller should, with amazing precision.
its really good to be honest its the best buy so far from play.com that ive ever done yet i can hear my freinds more clearer now and its alot lighter than having a battrey pack on the controller and the buttons are more easeyer and i love the fact it has black digital comoflage and the light up feature on the sticks what could i ask more in a controller. 10/10
