Madcatz Officially Licensed Modern Warfare 2 Xbox 360 Throat Mic Communicator Headset (Call Of Duty)

How in gods green earth did madcatz have the cheek to release this poor excuse for a headset, i hope the creators are bowing their heads in shame. The mic does not block out all background noise, in fact you will have to turn the t.v right down so you can barely hear it as it feeds back every noise it hears. This was an excellent idea in principal but very very very very poorly implemented. I will never buy a madcatz product ever again.

I was looking forward to getting this along side MW2. It came today, it fits great. Thats where anything good ends though. The mic on the throat is just a mic its not a proper throat comunicator. So as youd excpect any sound that comes out is extra deep so its hard for people to understand you. Also the earpiece, such an opportunity to be awesome, using an in-ear ear piece, but even this makes everything sound deeper, and not just a little, loads. So you can imagine how hard it becomes to understand people especialy when there is more than one person talking or the person you are talking to already has a deep voice. Just dont bother buying this, I can stress too much how bad it is, you WILL be dissapointed.

It works Ill give it that but.....

The Ear piece sounds really hollow and distant
my friends online tell me the voice sounds terrible.

It is a shame because by far it is the most comfortable headset ive had.

I love the design and comfort, perfect, sometimes forgot it was there.

With the Pro's out of the way, lets go straight to the cons:

Voice is crackly when I speak, Voice chat is crackly when people are talking to me (crystal clear sound hmm not sure about that). Which is it's full purpose for communication. It doesn't block out background noise that well. Not worth the money.

It is sensitive when it comes to sound, picks up anything.. but it's really unclear voice chat lets it down.

I'd like to know who done the design and quality control on this as they need sacking it looks and feels cheap, its nothing like a military throat mic, you can't wear it unless you have the neck of a small child and they have used a cheap mobile phone earpiece.

Come on Madcatz this is rubbish sort it out, you need to rethink your whole marketing on this.
