Being a huge green day fan and not a rock band fan ( as im not that good lol ) i bought this just cause Green Day are my favourite band and got say i love it , with American idiot and Dookie only the two complete albums in this which was a bet of a let down but saying that its the two albums that made them big. From the other albums you do have their best songs but i would have like to seen all the songs on here . you can download songs to complete the 21st century album which means paying out more . If you love green day ,you will love this either singing along to your favourite songs or playing guitar or just drumming it out. The transformation from Billie , Tre and mike to the computer screen is very well done , what ever songs you play its shows the guys from that time period.( Billie during American idiot his black style with red tie , when he teenager his blue hair stage ) reason it lost a star is due to you have to pay for some of the other songs.

 Amazing

Being a musician I've never really been that into the Rock Band franchise, always preferring the real deal over replication, however being long time Green Day fan, me and some friends decided to give this a try since one of us already owned the appropriate kit.

I can honestly say we were not disappointed by what this game had to offer. The career mode follows a somewhat gapped but accurate order of Green Day's success, going from Dookie to American Idiot, to 21st Century Breakdown and some odd ones from other albums inbetween. Overall, 3 (more or less, disregarding the DLC issue) complete albums spanning the range of style throughout the band's career. Whilst not very challenging technically (but let's face it, if you play this type of game or music to be technically challenged you've got a screw loose somewhere) the songs are replicated well for the respective instruments, and the ability to perform three part harmonies (these become very prominent in the last album) really kicks it up a gear if you're serious about making music in any way, but of course you will need 3 separate USB microphones to achieve this.

After about 2 run-through's, both while being moderately intoxicated, the game can get a tad stale, but like any Rock Band game, it's generally bought as a party piece, for which it admirably served its purpose.

On a final note, if you really want to make music like these guys, shell out the cash and do it properly. It's not as hard as you think, and you won't regret it.

 Must have for any Fan!!!!
