i brought this for my son because he likes football and he absolutely loved it. the graphics are so much better than fifa. he likes the master league and become a legend modes the only down sides is that on fifa it has the championship, league 1 and league 2 unlike pes and on fifa it has the proper kits and proper names of the teams but it's not really about that so we will stick with pes.

Biggest Disappointment ever from a Game

Having come half way through the season, honestly, this is the worst football game I have ever played. I don't want to throw anybody off here because these other reviews are every positive, but my lord it's terrible. The formation menu is ridiculously absurd and unnecessarily awkward to use, the passing is atrocious, I genuinely thought I was doing something wrong, but it turns out these are "new improvements". But the worst is the use of the cursor. Honestly, half the time the player with the ball is a player I'm not controlling (yes, when they're on my team) The amount of opportunities you'll miss due to the cursor not picking up the player you're looking for (never been a problem in any of the previous PES games) Is ridiculous. Literally, a week after playing this game I've already ordered the older PES again. This does not feel like a PES game at all. This may be good news for you if you're looking for something different, not quite Fifa but not quite PES, but if you enjoyed the previous PES games like they were, this game is certainly not for you.

I have been a fan of the PES series for a long time now, and I loved this one as well. It really is challenging to establish good offensive play in PES, which I enjoy. FIFA on the other hand it is practicly possible to do anything you wish to with the player and get past the opposition = Not real! PES has developed the individual player to be unique, but the players on FIFA is more similar. Anyway, the reason why the game does not get a 5 star is because of it's bugs. Look it up on youtube if you wish. Small things, that I would think Konami would fix for PES2012.

Pro Evo is back and best than ever

This game is so super soccer, the best thing about it is that top players are so life alike. Mr Emille Heskey, Titus Bramble, Messi and David Bentley are all alike if they were looking into mirror image. The pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass and shoot is spot on in this game. The game has all types of weather to play in, sun and rain. But I dont use rain as ball slips far. You can build own stadium in the stadium creator and use old Konami graphics to decorate your new stadium, nice.
My stadium has dark night and old pixel graphics clouds from Castlevania. Pro Evo is back with 2011. It went away for awhile, it used to be the best, but for awhile on new consoles it wasnt, now it is the best again.
There's also lots of tricks to do, you can map them to the right stick on your pad. So even if you have not very good thumb skill, you can nudge the right stick to do a trick you previously inputted into that direction you pushed on the right thumb stick and voila you do the trick to go past your man and score that goal and then you can save that goal and watch them back and enjoy it again and again.
This game has official original Champions League theme music which you get on TV when the Champions League starts. It makes me bit emotional when playing Champions League. You can choose any team to be in Champions League, not just teams that are in the Champions League which is good.
You can score cracking volleys, smashing back heels, deft overhead kicks and finesse header goals. I managed to score one goal even with a chest smash like Ronaldhino's famous goal.
Also this game comes has a very nice cover on the box which I like for a poster and very nice instructions which are fun to read which has to be an added bonus.
I think I will very much enjoy playing PES for the multiplayer experience as you get to play teams like Barcelona, Man utd and Barcelona again which is nice because they are great strong teams!
5 red stars

Finally, the true next gen Pro Evo experience has arrived after a long overdue wait.

Having been an avid fan of the series since the SNES days, the most recent incarnations have often left many feeling a little deflated, however, the tide has finally turned.

From the offset the positive changes are noticeable. Forget about EAs licenced teams, correct hair styles, TV perfect commentary and arcade style player movements that resemble men wading through treacle, Pro Evo 11 is total football. Anybody who has ever played football at any decent sort of level will be able to appreciate this.

The game flows effortlessly, the passing system has had a major overhaul. Through balls can pick out off the ball runs in the corner of your eye, the players movements are fluid, non rigid like other
offerings, and as always with Pro Evo, no two goals scored are ever the same, each feels rewarding and ultra realistic.

Visuals are top notch and compliment the gameplay. I could not care if Pro Evo did not have a single licenced team, its all about realistic, fluid football. As a fan of football and having played the game, there is only one choice. I will not belittle EAs attempt at creating a football game, but the two franchises cannot be compared.

FIFA is an arcade game designed for people who dont understand what it is like to play football, arm chair fans who who just want to pick up and play with robotic feeling AI, running from one end of the pitch to the other using a trick stick and performing super 3000 rainbow flicks from one end of the pitch to the other before smashing the ball in the net from only one of three possible angles in which you are able to score. EA know there audience and you can't blame them for sticking to this formula as the demand is there.

If you arent the type that is impressed by the latest shiny strips and boot designs, then the answer to true next gen total football is Pro Evo 2011, the king has finally returned and the future looks bright.

Brilliant, if you ignore the lack of official kits.

Very good looking game, quality game-play, more randomness than fifa titles. You get more interesting things happen in the game, where FIFA tends to be more scripted.

Big laughs when in coop and you miss easy shots. Always gets the room laughing when you overpower a shot or totally miss the ball with a diving header. You just don't get that spontaneous feel from FIFA titles.

But please please please Konami... EA lose the exclusive FIFA license in 2011.... break the bank to get it, and Pro Evo will be untouchable.

save your money because it's really really hard to put a ok cross into the box because you can tap the cross button and he'll hit it as hard as he can & if you create a player with max stats & put him on a PK & tap the shoot button he'll blaze it over & wide. The only things that stopping it from getting a 1 star are;

1.) It has the Champions League & Europa League Intro's when playing Master League/B.A.L.

2.) Create your own stadium in your own way & play matchs to unlock new parts for it & cool things for player, stadium backgounds, main menu music / images and many many more.

3.) How teams are placed if two or more teams are level on points & how the Cup games are decied.

4.) You now can hire staff for your players.

5.) You now have a youth team.

6.) You now can train your players to play in another postion or something that gives him an advantage in certion way, that will cost you some of your transfer funds.

7.) While Playing Master League(Offline) you can chose your sponsers for "X" number of seasons & how much you put fan club.

8.) When playing Master League(Offline) or B.A.L.(Become A Legend) when you play a Champions League or Europa League the score board changes.

here's some of the other let downs.

1.) When playing Master League(Online) it costs about 60 million for a player that has an overall of around 60.

2.) When playing Master League(Online) you can set it to put you with people who speaks a certion language but it has a bad habbit of putting me with Russians.

3.) When playing Master League(Online) it has a bad habbit of putting me with people who has a few half decent players.

4.) When playing Master League(Online) it costs to much of your own in game cash to enter a Cup or Master League game.

5.) It still doesn't show you what the score is on Agg. as it happens in a 2 Legged game, {e.g. 1st Leg: 0, Schalke 04 .v. Man U.T.D. , 2 - 2nd Leg: 1, Man U.T.D. .V. Schalke 04 , 0 (Agg. 3-0), 2, Man U.T.D. .V. Schalke 04 , 0 (Agg. 4-0) , 2, Man U.T.D. .V. Schalke 04 , 1 (Agg. 4-1) , 3 , Man U.T.D. .V. Schalke 04 , 1 (Agg. 5-1) , 4 , Man U.T.D. .V. Schalke 04 , 1 (Agg. 6-1).} would also be nice if they added a * to show winning on the away goals rule {e.g. say it finish 2, R.Madrid .v. Man U.T.D. ,1 in the 1st leg then in the 2nd leg: 1 , Man U.T.D. .v. R.Madrid , 0 (Agg. *2-2), then later on in the 2nd leg: 3 , Man U.T.D. .v. R.Madrid , 2 (Agg. 4-4*) }.
