 Work disguised as fun

I want to encourage fantasy games and those with offline co-op in particular...

BUT it's just too fussy for a game of this kind, the split screen co-op isn't that great. It doesn't deliver very much of the hack and slash fun of other games of this kind because of the ropey controls. It's what we sometimes call 'work disguised as fun'. Graphics are rough as well.

However the voice-acting is good. Particularly the 'dream girl'.

 Replay Factor Big.

The game is huge, and really good fun to go through with a buddy. The graphics arent amazing, the upgrade system isnt amazing, but they are good, and they do the job without getting in the way of the great story. Even after you play it through you can go though it again finding loads of secrets. All through the game you can find gold which unlocks things for the map creator, which you can create your own levels with waves of enemies. Great game, worth the buy. But dont play it on your own.... thats why it doesnt get a 5, you have to play it with a friend to enjoy it.

It's good, but it's not right.

It seems to me that the only time Bethesda make a really good game is under the Elder Scrolls banner and to a lesser extent Fallout. I would class Hunted as a missed opportunity. The graphics and AI are not the best and seem rushed. On the plus side the co-op mode is fun and the game does have a big replay factor. I bought this while waiting for dungeon seige III and now having played both i think i prefer this.

Top 100 Games Reviewer

This game seems to got a lot of mixed reviews but in my opinion this is a pretty good game. Ok the graphics look a couple of years out of date but it is very nice to play. Good story, good voice acting including Lucy Lawless.
Out of the two character i think E'lara is the best to play with as she is great at long range. But it has some replay value as you could go through it again as Caddoc.
If your after something a bit different, defently worth a look.

 worth playing!

I really enjoyed this game! On my first go at this game i played as E'lara who in my opinion is the better character to play with (iv completed the game with both characters). The story is great and the voice overs are fab! Its a good shooter game with plenty of action, secrets to unlock and multiplayer options! also u can create ur own maps to play on!
