  Wouldn't bother

Wouldn't bother purchasing as it is now not the real cable for it. The description says it transfer's your old harddrive to your new console. It does not, its just a cheap imitation that transfers your content onto your computer not your new console.
Which in my opinion is useless. Returning for a refund

  Good but pricey..

I dont normally write reviews but i think some of the reviews here are confusing so i thought id tell you my experiance using the cable. It took about 15ish minutes and it transfered everything, xbox live, achievements the lot. I did not have to recover my xbox live just loaded up my profile and was playing as normal. Only bad thing is the price for something your probley going to use once.

if your 360 has got the rrod then a usb memory stick is no good, you have to use the data transfer cable, and from what ive seen it is very quick and easy to do, i will be getting one to transfer my game downloads from my old xbox which has RROD to my new 360 slim

Money well spent, so simple to transfer your data and xbox live account from old to new xbox, something I was a bit worried about, but it all went fine.

  Does the job well

Does what it's supposed to without the hassle. There's not need to recover your gamertag and everything is transferred with ease. Licences for arcade games were transferred the last time I used one so I had no need to do that either.

  What a waste of money

This is a total waste of money. I was bought a new 250gb xbox for christmas and managed to move all the data from a full 20gb model in less than 5 minutes with a normal everyday 4gb flash drive with no hassle.....(these cost half the price of this)..i dont understand why people would need this lead.

  A bit pricey

| | See all familybeck's reviews (5)

The price for this device is a little bit too much for my liking. If I used this to transfer my saved data over from xbox to another I'd probely go halvezes with one of my mates.

I used a usb 8gb drive to transfer all data from one xbox to my new 250gb slim modal, works just the same as this but takes ages to work...

  Great peice of kit.

If you have just bought the 250gb slim like me, this kit will save u alot of time transfering all your saved files onto usb flash drive etc.
Formats the old hard drive aswell so you if your looking to sell it on, it removes everything you had on there and profile details.

Worth chipping in with a friend maybe as your only going to use this cable once.

The good -

Transfers your game saves, DLC and other game related saves, such as replays for racing games. Will transfer data from any size old style xbox 360 hard drive (20, 60, 120 and 250 GB - I transfered from an older 250 GB) to the new slim 360 250 GB HDD.

I traded my Transfer Cable in at a high street retailer after use and got 2/3 of it's value back in the trade (although this was the day after the new 360 came out, so trade prices are likely to drop as time goes on).

The bad -

Won't transfer your installed (from disc) games (it did transfer my Forza 3 - disk 2 data though) so you will have to re-install all your games again. OK, so you don't need to install your games, but it makes most of them load a bit quicker and run better, so it's recommended. You will have to recover your gamer profile from Live before you can get back online.

Not really a bad thing, but it moves data, not copies it. So it deletes all the data it moves from the old drive (although it did leave the installed games on the old hard drive that it could not move).
