Kinect: MotionSports

This game isn't much fun. I picked it up as a blind buy as an alternative to the somewhat cartoony appearance of the other Kinect sport games and I wish I hadn't now. Its interface is very very bland and the actual games themselves dont exactly get the blood pumping. The difficulty for each sport varies wildly from ridiculously easy to almost scream at your TV hard. The controls are also somewhat lacking and often your actions wont be picked up in a timely fashion or at all! This is frustrating as Ubisoft's other game "Your Shape" has excellent controls. In terms of redeeming features the hang gliding event and horse riding are quite fun although even with those there is never really much of a feeling of progression. Overall worth avoiding.

I have seen the poor reviews on here. And to be honest. I dont really know where they are coming from.

Maybe the other reviewers dont have the kinect calibrated correctly.

As personal experience this end. Is that there is no lag, and its completely responsive. It picks up each of the players with its memory Body Shape software. Which is amazing if you think about it.

This really is an outstanding game, its one of the better ones i have played for the kinect that is currently available. But its not as good as the other kinect sports game.

Its also great for getting you up off the couch. So if you want to burn some of those unwanted xmas calories. This is well worth a buy.
Be warned you may lose all your evening/weekends!! Plus the next morning after hardcore playing this. You might need to take a long hot bath to relax those stiff muscles!!

Seriously guysy don't buy this game! We bought it because the sports were different and it had quite good reviews. However, took it home and it did not work!! It wasn't reacting properly at all- horse stops dead in horse racing and hanggliding is impossible! There are so many good games for kinect out there so don't bother with this one!!!

I picked this game up the other day thinking it was the Kinect Sports game only to realise, about 2 hours of novelty gameplay later that it was somewhat lacking, hence I logged onto play.com and to my amazement saw this game rated as two stars as apposed to Kinect Sports as 5 stars and to be quite honest, the person that rated it as 2 stars must only have been rating it on the graphics.
It is unresponsive and tedious. You realise that even as a novelty game (the kind of game that might be fun to play with your friends for a very short while like most Wii games) it is boring. There are 6 sports, none of them allow you to actually play the sports they offer.
If I was to compare it to any game, it would be like the mini-game section of Wii Sports.
If you want it, wait until it drops to 9.99 in the Play.com sale, even though that still is slightly over priced.
