Great game, another great Bioware title

The first thing I would like to talk about is the imprved gameplay. The battle system is now fluent and not a turn based battle system disguised as a real time battle system. The attacks meld nicely into one another to give an exciting experience. The side quests have more depth then in the first Dragon age and , if im honest, make up most of the game. The actual story of dragon age 2 does tend to get lost within the side quests, but you know what? I didn't mind because I loved every mission. The missions help build the characters personas. Its roughly 30 hours + if you do the side quests. I think it is great value for money and a great game to play. The extra content is useful and allows you to get more achievement points and ther are some good quests that come from it. By collectors edition standards though it isnt fantastic, but with that you will pay online for the DLC later why not butthe signature ed?

 Could have been better

I'm not usually one to write reviews, but I felt I needed to say something about Dragon Age 2.

Good stuff:
1.Improved graphics and gameplay
2.Rogue and Mage classes are much more enjoyable to play, the Mage especially.
3.Better equipment compared to DA:Origins
4.Arguably more side and companion based quests that make the game longer.

Bad stuff:
1.You can only play as a human (no elf or dwarf)
2.Locations are reused excessively, to the point that after a couple of playthroughs it gets boring
3.You spend the vast majority of the game running back and forth through a city that feels more like a big village thanks to limited locations
4.How is it you can run around a city as an Apostate Mage with a mad Templar Knight Commander and not be noticed?
5.How is it you can use Blood Magic and not have anyone notice or react badly to it?
6.Item locations are always the same, thereby also reducing replay value, you know where everything is already.

For me at least, as much as I like the game, the negatives far outweigh the positives... still though, if you liked Origins, you'll probably like this too.
