The highly anticipated follow-up to Assassin's Creed features a new hero, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, a young Italian noble, and a new era, the Renaissance. Assassin's Creed 2 retains the core gameplay experience that made the first opus a resounding success and features new experiences that will surprise and challenge players. Assassin's Creed 2 is an epic story of family, vengeance and conspiracy set in the pristine, yet brutal, backdrop of a Renaissance Italy. Ezio befriends Leonardo da Vinci, takes on Florence's most powerful families and ventures throughout the canals of Venice where he learns to become a master assassin.

  • Assassins Creed II: Game Of The Year Edition Includes:
  • Assassin's Creed 2 full game
  • Both DLC packs: Battle of Forli & Bonfire of the Vanities
  • 3 Templar Secret Locations (Palazzo Medici + Santa Maria dei Frari + Arsenal Shipyard), previously only available in the Assassin's Creed 2 Black Edition
  • All extra features are contained on the remastered game disc - there is no need to download any content to play

Product Features:

  • Explore the beginning of modern history in an epic story of power, revenge, and conspiracy
  • Master the art of the assassin with over 20 new weapons and inventions created by Leonardo da Vinci
  • Experience open world gameplay with over 16 types of mission

Superb and engrossing - this GOTY edition is even better

Top 100 Clothing Reviewer

I had been warned off AC1 but love this game. Spent hours and hours sneaking around medieval Italy and the developers obviously put so much effort into creating a marvellous replica of the era. Venice in particular is lovely, having visited, so much is familiar.

The fluidity when free running over rooftops is superb, the missions are really engrossing.

This edition has some DLC built in that fills in some story gaps. I wish I had activated it from the start, so if you get it I recommend you do so. It then gives you a seamless experience.

Overall the game is sublime in places, and just a solid five star elsewhere.

As an aside I did find the Templar lairs, unlike another reviewer. Maybe it was patched or something.

Well, Assasins creed 2, the follow on to an outstanding game. This takes everthing that was good about the first game and improves on it and while their at it removes everthing that made the first one annoying (stupid horse controls for one). AC2 is more ambitious than the first, bigger cities and more targets to remove and more side misssion to boot. Sometimes when a developer adds more to a title, it seems like their just fiddling for something to do, but with this it carries its additions so well it make it a pleasure to find every last collectible and side mission. This is by far the better of the two and its story is way better than the first, epic game!

 Beyond Fantastic

This game goes beyond the first....more to do, side missions and build up all surpass its sibling and ensures your always hunting for something. Whether its altairs armour or glyphs.

My only gripe is most missions are pretty impossible to do full on stealth...you`ll know what i mean when you have to assassinate a guy on a boat during mardi gras. its just not possible and thats sort of the point....to be able to slip in, kill someone and slip out. rather than run in, smash up a few guards, kill the target, smash up a few more guards then run off and hide lol.

Thats just me being picky as i never stopped enjoying this game. might help to play the first one first tho :o)

 Far Better than the Original.

The first Assassins Creed, as you may know, Got somewhat Mixed responses. I personally thought it was brilliant, but this blew it right out of the water! They kept (and improved) all the good bits, like the truly awesome Combat, and removed most of the bad. Except the annoying collectibles. There's a lot less of them, only 144 or something, rather than a few million Flags. They've added Character development, and a semi-meaningful storyline. But face it, a True story just gets in the way.
Well Done Ubisoft, and thank you for such an awesome game!

 Amazing

I cannot stress how much better this game is than the first. Every flaw, every criticism, every nook and cranny...sorted in AC2.

Story is gripping, combat and stealth is top notch, and the freedom of parkour is exquisite.

A shame there is no multiplayer, but there is no need. there is enough content in here to make you want to collect every feather, discover every secret, and explore every building.
