Dead Or Alive 5

I love this game, I was really concerned about buying it because the difficulty on Dead or Alive really spiked to the point of frustration. This game is a different animal altogether. There are difficulty settings that are more realistic and I would say that makes this game open to almost anybody. If you are just a casual gamer there is a rookie mode which anyone should be able to breeze through, if you want a real challenge this game offers that too. There are plenty of things to do for one player, but the multi-player options really open the game up, either online or offline. There is single play or tag play, both or which have the smooth graphics and fast action that you would expect from a game in this series.

There has been a big graphical over-hall, Team Ninja have added a dirt and sweat physics engine that really does work. As a character is dropped to the floor they will pick up dirt, the longer a fight goes on the more the characters will perspire. Some levels even have water and you can see the colour of the outfits change as they get wet. This is a welcome return to form for the series. If you are a Dead or Alive fan, but DOA 4 difficulty levels are making you hesitate, buy this game in the knowledge that if I can play it, pretty much anyone can.
