Call Of Duty: Black Ops II (With Bonus Nuketown 2025 Multiplayer Map)

The zombies is phenomenal, without it I'd either snap the disc or trade it in. The multiplayer is not only laggy, the guns are unbalanced the maps are custom built for camper heaven its just an infuriating game. If you like being shot by 12 year olds who sit in corners for the whole match by all means buy it for the multiplayer. The campaign is awful too, with Treyarch adding pointless novelties that are awkward to control, when lets be honest, I'd rather just shoot people, and wish they'd stop trying to make the game interesting through the use of gadgets and gimmicks. Just irritating. The only reason it has 3 stars is because of how good the zombies is, other than that I'd rather play my toaster

having loved the original black ops i pre ordered this in the hope it would improve and sadly its a massive failure. The main game i switched off around a third the way through as it was simply boring. The online aspect has some ok maps however the lag is woeful and more frustratingly is you can pump a whole round of ammo into someone and they dont die and they hit you with one bullet and you die, totally hit and miss. Game has gone too arcade like and just too frustrating to be fun. Should have called it " Call it a day" instead

Black Ops 2 provides exactly what everyone would have expected and sales suggest plenty of people are still willing to buy each new version but I for one have no interest in purchasing new games in a series year on year when the formula was already virtually perfected back in 2007 with the first Modern Warfare.

its very good but not as good as the first one but very good try also a very enjoyable game very good love it i would buy it but rimember its an 18 and i agree with the game limit lots of swering and violences not for young childern but great game also very good for hard core gamers look to make a nae for them selfs.

Well what can I say, another Call of Duty is born! I must admit before I purchased it I was very skeptical. All my BF3 mates will be cursing me lol, but I don't care. This game is very good and playing the latest installment just reminded me how good the series is.

The storyline is very good. It's set along two different timelines, the first being 1986-89 and the second in the future in the year 2025. The two time lines are interlinked by a complex story of how the Cold War has brought about a lot of change in relatively unknown countries at the time. It leaves behind events of the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Vietnam War (all real events) and focuses upon the fictional plot. It also cleverly incorporates real time events like the invasion of Panama to coincide with the story.
Alex Mason's (from the original) son leads the SEAL team of the future (the second game). The story of how things got to where they are is narrated by David Mason's fathers friend and fellow soldier SGT Frank Woods. Treyarch have really diversified with their stories and its so refreshing to step away from traditional conflicts of nations such as the Americans V the Germans / Russians etc.

Game play itself is very good. As well as standard campaign missions you have the option of playing 5 spec ops mission that run in conjunction to the story. In this missions you can control units of both men and mechanized fighting equipment. Most of all the best thing about the storyline is the decision making which is a COD first. You can make different choices which will affect the overall outcome during and at the end of the game.

Finally the multi player is very good indeed. Level 55 to prestige instead of level 80, the ability to fully customize your own player card instead of simply choosing one and new entertaining game types to name but a few good positives. But important of them all (in my eyes) is all new zombie mode. You can play survival which is exactly that or you can play Tranzit Mode which allows you to ride around in a make shift bus and take on the undead hordes across various locations on the map!! Really fun and will keep you amused for ages. A worth while buy for sure this Christmas.

After reading a few of the reviews I was shocked, I don't know what you've been playing but I really, really loved the game. I was easily bored by a few of the campaigns in previous Call Of Duty games but this one I found gripping, with a wide variety in the missions and best of all, key decisions you can make which COMPLETELY changes the story.
So far I've seen 2 completely different endings and I know there's more, including a secret one which changes everything. I love role-playing games too so this is a feature which really interested and impressed me. It's not an extremely long campaign, you can get through it in a day, but it's honestly great fun. There's so much to do in it!
Not to mention the side missions which enable you to control 2 squads of soldiers, a CLAW and various turrets, which was challenging but great fun.
Word of warning though: it can be quite gruesome and graphic and may not be great for the faint hearted/young.
As for multiplayer, there is more of a Modern Warfare feel (guns etc) but I still enjoy it. The league play is great for the more serious gamer and various challenges to unlock cool gun camo's is an interesting spin. It also has the 'Kill Confirmed' game mode from MW3 and 'one in the chamber' and others from Black Ops 1.
I haven't even mentioned the zombie modes yet. At first you'll probably react negatively to the change, but you'll be hooked in no time. Whether you just want to rack up a high score on Survival or piece together a story on Tranzit travelling between towns on a bus, the zombie modes will have you fixated to the screen and begging your mates to 'just have one more game'.
I could rave on and on, but I'll let you see for yourself. This is one of my favourite games for it's variety and all the game modes it has to offer.

Oh and Nine Inch Nails and Avenged Sevenfold are involved in the game. Icing on the cake.

Campaign: Same as it ever was, same as it ever was, same as it ever was, same as it ever was, but vaguely in the future 3/10

Zombies: love zombies, very fun. only downfall is being matched with terrible players, but not too bad. 8/10

Multiplayer:
Much harder than MW3, same problems as modern warfare.
Maps: Smaller maps mean you die within 5 seconds of re-spawning, or maps are too big that you spend ages running to where you need to go just to get shot by someone camping.
Killstreaks: no problem here i don't think, except a lot of pointless advice you get such as "enemy lightning strike inbound" and within a second of hearing that you get hit and are killed.
Weapons: Some weapons are stupidly overpowered and can kill you in 3 shots which render other weapons useless, some weapons are just absolutely useless and no one uses them, shotguns are really overpowered but can't even shoot someone ten feet away, knifing is a lot harder, be prepared to miss a lot of knife lunges. however, weapons customization is quite useful
Lag and respawn: im happy to say that absolutely nothing has been done to fix these problems, i have very good internet connection, very rarely had the same problems in mw3, i played today and had to quite because every game i was being put in was lagging like hell, don't know why this is such a problem for COD to fix.

What has happened to COD? Does anybody remember that perfect shooter called Call of Duty 4? Great plot? realistic story? authentic military protocols? simple but addictive multi-player???

The people who made this must never have played it.

Same old linear shooter with below average AI, weak story, poorly designed futuristic....stuff, and the same old multi-player.

COD is just aimed at children teenagers now, so they can get mummy and daddy to buy the over priced extra map packs on their credit card.

I hope this is the final nail in the coffin of a sadly worsening series.
