First of all I can't believe that this is only the second review to be posted and secondly I really can't understand how anyone can give this excellent game a one star review. I couldn't disagree more!! If you have any interest in racing games give this a go. I was a little worried in the first hour but once I got used to the new d-pad set up for easy drive and progressed a little through the game it opened up and became one of the best racing games I've ever played. I normally prefer forza and F1 type of games but this is all about sheer unadulterated joy. And the adrenalin buzz from outrunning the law is well and truly worh the money!!! Seriously give this a go you will not regret it!!!
First off the city graphics are very good. However the game gets boring very quickly there is no major variation in the game play and after a few hours you get the feeling that is just repeating the same old game play just in a different car. The top 10 most wanted races ARE IMPOSSIBLE AFTER NUMBER 6. The position of the map makes it difficult to see when racing made so many wrong turns or missed them all together. All I all not worth 40 Forza Horizons beats it hands down.
I will start by saying this game is awesome i pre ordered this game and i wasnt disapointed i like to free drive, drive to races and getting cop chases but most important the handling of the cars is good just like hot pursuit, some people think forza horizon is better but i disagree, most wanted is a challange to fully complete
First of all, I own all the Forza games including horizon so can offer my view on this game with no ties to either side.
I love this game. Being set within a city is great. Really dangerous driving. The autolog is great and I love seeing my friends faces on billboards around the city showing how good they are. Being chased by the police is also awesome. The whole game keeps your heart pounding and it feels like a better version of burnout. The races aren't impossible. They are very well balanced. I cannot put this game down. Everytime I get in from work, autolog tells me if a friend has beaten any speed camera speeds, race times, longest jump etc. Then I am straight back on it to beat them. Yep Forza horizon edges the graphics side with it's attention to car detail and locked frame rate. However, nothing beats the city of fairhaven and it's team of police interceptors. Go anywhere, be anyone. Race your way.
This is a must buy
I love driving games on x-box 360 i've completed forza 2,3,4 and horizon.I've had my fair share of NFS titles too both Shifts,Pro Street,Carbon and Underground (also most of the previous nfs titles on pc)and I can honestly say that this is the first NFS title that i have regretted buying.I use a wheel and as far as I can tell the cars do not handle at all you forever feel like you are on ice skating everywhere.I see the game has a pegi 7 rating which should mean suitable for over 7 in my opinion 7 is probably the maximum age that might enjoy this (forgive the pun) car crash of a game.
