Official Xbox 360 Wireless Headset - White

i would recommend it but if you dont have anouther mic it can be a hassle becuase once its on charge you can't use it. Its battery last short for first few times but then it starts to last abit longer. Battery started of about 5-6 hours working time now its nearer to 8+. But it also has better sound and the mic is much further away from your face so you can stuff your face in with food with out eating your mic at the same time! :D

A word of caution, I bought one of these hoping to be completely wireless.

I charged it, and then tried to set it up, exactly as described in the manual ... it would not assign to the same "quadrant" as my wireless controller.

I called MS support, and the rude, arrogant lady I spoke to told me it will not work with my wireless controller, as my controller is fairly old, the software isn't compatible.

That's right, the software in my Microsoft wireless controller, is not compatible with the software in my Microsoft wireless headset.

The official Microsoft fix for this ? ... Go and buy a new wireless controller, or use my wired controller ! They would not replace my old controller as I was out of warranty.

It doesn't mention anywhere on the packaging, or on any of the reviews/website I have read, that there may be compatibility issues.

When I did use this online, in a game of Rainbow Six Vegas I had complaints of being too quiet.

Its also extremely uncomfortable if you have 20mm stretched earlobes :)

People who say it doesn't sync with old controllers are wrong, mainly because IT SYNCS WITH THE X BOX ITSELF NOT THE CONTROLLER!
It's a better sound quality than a wired mic' and more comfortable.

I've had mine just under 9 months its working completely fine I don't see how people manage to break them so often what are you doing to them if it just sits on your ear while your on Live and charges when your not it shouldn't break. It's a fantastic bit of kit.

To be honest I didnt't know what to expect from reading all sorts of reviews everywhere.
I ordered it purely for the fact that I found it almost impossible to hear others with the supplied headset.

I have 4 main pro's and 1 negative (the reason for the 4 stars)
Pro's:
1-Wireless Freedom
2-Comfortable (not noticable after a while at all)
3-Impressive battery life
4-Solid Well Built Construction

There is a very slight "hiss sound" if you are the listener of the headset. Its hardly noticable (you been the talker of the headset will never notice it unless it's pointed out) and not loud enough to be classified as annoying. I don't see this as in anyway a problem, but I gave it the 4 stars purely on the bases that this should have been an easy-enough fix picked up during the testing.

All-in-all a reasonably priced accessory worth getting if you are a heavy user of online.
