Set in the near future, the Battlefield: Bad Company single-player campaign drops gamers into a dramatic Eurasian conflict. As part of a squad of four soldiers, players risk it all to go AWOL on a personal quest, fighting their own war within the war. Featuring a dramatic storyline flavoured with attitude, Battlefield: Bad Company leads gamers far from the traditional frontlines on a wild ride with a group of renegade soldiers who decide that sometimes the gratitude of a nation just isn't enough.

The Battlefield: Bad Company cinematic single-player experience captures the freedom and intensity of the series legendary multiplayer sandbox gameplay in a dynamic world where nearly everything is destructible. Gamers have total freedom to be daring and innovative, adapting to and tackling challenges in unexpected "Battlefield-style" ways. Create sniping positions by blowing out a piece of a wall or drive your tank straight through a small house. The ever-changing battlefield forces players, their teammates and enemies to react accordingly.

The game also features a full suite of the series trademark multiplayer gameplay, supporting 24 players online.

War, your way: Battlefield: Bad Company environments are 90 percent destructible, meaning that any structure can be demolished down to its foundation. Gamers can shape the battlefield to match their play style - the possibilities are literally endless.

New vehicles, weapons and toys: Land, air or sea, dozens of new tools are waiting for explosive experimentation. Battlefield: Bad Company gives gamers the building blocks to get creative and usher in a new era of their own Battlefield moments.

Frostbite game engine: DICE's Frostbite game engine raises the bar for next-gen gaming, with stunning HD graphics that bring characters, vehicles, and environments to life like never before.

Genre-defining multiplayer: Support for 24 players online in a world designed to take full advantage of the game's massively destructible environments.

The demo is enough, but a full game! i think i'm gonna cry!

I'm willing to say, from what i've played of the demo, this is THE best online game i've played, it's extremely similar to COD4, but with the introduction of many vehicles/equipement, its so much better as its far more interesting..... and difficult.
There's only 1 map on the demo - Oasis, but by God is it huge, if any of the other maps are as big and vary in combat situations so much, we're in for a COD4 beater i think....
So yea, this is the best online game ever, so do yourself a favour and buy it.
        Can't wait for release!!

Hmmmm not sure about this one

I know you shouldnt judge a game by the demo version only but i couldnt help but feel a little dissapointed. The graphics were great and the destructible environments worked a treat. However, i couldnt help but be reminded somewhat of Frontlines:Fuel of war. I needed to clear out a village/town and possibly destroy a sattleite dish etc. I also found myself pointing my gun at someone only to find that my bullets hadnt hit their target. I'll make a full judgement when i see the final product.

         COD4 beater....

This is game is going to be the next big thing from what i've played of it, battlefield games have always brought new and innovative ideas into there games andthis really pushes boundaries for next gen games. if you havent played the demo before, you know in previous games trees were stronger than tanks? in this 90% of the environment is destructible as said, and its just amazing if you saw a sniper before and you could only just see the top of his head he would be protected by the wall, well you can blow a hole in the wall to get to him now :D and the thing that COD4 lacked was the use of vehicles, ok its good as it makes it a bit fairer, but they should of atleast made the option to use them. but instead of taking my word for it go download the demo.... Now.

         Fantasic Multiplayer

Firstly this game should only really be reviewed as a multiplayer game. Single player is a pretty underwhelming experience and there are far better single player games out there.
Having said that let me say that multiplayer is fantastic! I cant overstate how much the destructible environments change gameplay, you can no longer just sit and camp. Defenders cannot just block bottlenecks to the objectives, pretty much any wall can be destroyed. Its quite a shock when the wall you where using as cover, is suddenly no longer there! Its amazing sight by the end of a round when buildings will be in ruins and the ground has huge craters from enemy artillery.
Its not fair to compare this to COD4 which is squad based shooter, whereas BF:BC is much more with tanks, boats and helicopters. They are different games, appealing to a slightly different crowd.
If you enjoyed the old Battlefield games on the PC then you will love this.

what a war game should be, sort of.

I used to love COD4 as most people do, but after a while i got completely sick of the unrealism and repettive online way. Battlefield is what i wanted COD to be, big maps, lots of vechilles, loads of weapons, and the atmosphere whilst playing online in a full server is unmatched, running through buildings as the walls are blowing off, shrapnel flying, artillery blasting, wow.
I also found that instead of having CODs create a class and gone back to standard select your support/demolition/etc. classes which makes the game so much more balanced as you can never have the things you want at once so there will not be an ultimate class.
Probally the only thing that annoys me about this game are the teamkillers and the fact that even though sniper rifles have 100% damage you can only kill someone with it if you hit them in the head/heart which is quite annoying seeming as 2 of the 3 rifles are (in the demo) are bolt action rifles and takes too long to set up the finishing kill.
