The Pro Evolution Soccer series is renowned for its realism, and Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is abundant with new gameplay additions. Player AI has been massively upgraded, with players running intelligently into space when not in possession of the ball and pointing where they want the pass placed to continue the attack. Similarly, the physical side of play has been refined, with players working to turn a defender as they receive the ball, while defenders must learn to stand off slightly to prevent such moves.
Pro Evolution Soccer 6 also has a number of new teams licensed for inclusion, with the International roster now featuring the official kits for Argentina, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Sweden. Details on official club teams and more national squads will follow.
Other new additions include more balanced referees, and a selection of exciting new gameplay modes.

Random mode lets the player play quick games within randomly-generated match day settings. The much-loved Master League also returns, allowing players to experience the many highs and lows of steering a team through years of competitive games. Aging players, injuries and pressure from the board all combine to create a truly immersive game where results are everything...
With its slick moves and realistic action, Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is certain to glide past rival titles with ease and enjoys an impressive roster of new moves, licensed clubs, and gameplay modes.
  • More than 150 moves, techniques and tricks with breath-taking animations
  • Thousands of licensed players
  • Fully licensed leagues and teams from the French Lique 1 Orange, the Italian Series A, the Spanish Liga Espanola & the Dutch Eredivisie
  • 64 National teams including England, Argentina, Australia, Czech Republic, France, Italy, Spain & Sweden
  • More than 120 club teams including licensed Clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester Utd, Glasgow Rangers, Celtic, Juventus, & more
  • Experience stunning online matches with friends from around the world with Xbox Live
  • Master League Mode mode lets you play real-life football seasons including cup competitions, relegation battles, player transfers and possibly even bankruptcy

 Next-Gen Evolution

The only thing holding Pro Evolution Soccer back from its first release on the PlayStation was its licences and incorrect names. This has become no problem now with 4 officially licensed Leagues and variety of licensed international squads, Pro Evolution Soccer is yet again, another success.

Now with its first release on the 'Next-Gen' consoles the PES series is challenging users once again with its gripping game play and stunning graphics which should keep PES fans satisfied until its next release.

One major set back within the 360 version is the very poor Edit Mode available but this shouldn't hold anybody back. For the first time it seems worthwhile winning the various Cups & Leagues available to unlock Gamerscore points which is then credited to your 360 Gamertag.

There is definite room for improvement by the time Pro Evolution Soccer 7 is out in October but this is a great start for Konami on the 'next-gen' consoles.

Priced at £17.99 it's money well worth spending

 Brilliant yet Infuriating at times

The 3 stars reflect my occasional indifferance to the game. I was drip fed fifa from an early age and played or bought every edition until pro evolution soccer 5 opened up a whole new world of football gaming.

The latest edition reflects the feeling i had in making the switch in that it lulls you in with promises of lifelike football and beautiful dynamics and then hits you with a sucker punch of questionable AI at the most infuriating of times and strange team names.

The plus points?

Well, i think anyone vaguely awake to football games will be able to rhyme these off, cracking graphics, amazing gameplay, all the skills individual to various top stars like kaka, ronaldinho ronaldo et al, and these alone make it an cracker.

The minus points?

Sadly, there is one great thorn in the side i've found with this game and that is the occasional crazy decisions the computer makes for your players, be it a defender running to attack when adriano is baring down on goal, or the through pass targeting a player far away from where you thought you'd asked it too.
The other noticable minus points are the constant absence of the championship that seems to be a massively popular request (i really wouldn't mind West Lancashire Whites (Preston) etc) and of course the lack of english licenses yet again, and perhaps the biggest disappointment with this edition? The crazy absence of the ability to edit or transfer players.

Don't get me wrong, football games are always going to be fifa vs pro evo, and for the match engine pro evo has and maybe always will be the most favoured. However, there are still one or two thorns that need to be removed from the lions paw, if they where and are, then pro evolution soccer 7 may well spell an end for the fifa franchise

 Simply Bad

Well, what can i say?... the gameplay is bad, there are no customisable options, such as kits, there is no point buying this game. If you have a PS2 - stick to that version.
Hopefully Pro Evo 7 will be better than this shambles of a game

 best football game ever

this is withought doubt the best football game ever made there is only one word to describe it and that is "brilliant"
also for the price you might aswell get it because i can asure yo 100% that you will enjoy this game if you like football. pro evo is much much better than fifa and always will be for me i just cant wait for pes 7!! buy it

ok, with pro evolution games even right back to the first games they were slow yet realistic and trys to be the best football simulation game, yet it have very little improvements on this latest title, if you have played Pro Evolution Soccer 5 this is neally a exact game in terms of gameplay, but the only improvements that are noticeable are very small number of licensed teams and stadiums and small tweaks in A.I opponents, and has the save function removed, so no saving your wonder goals.
if your looking for a fast pace, amazing graphics game i think you should look for Fifa 2007 or UEFA Champions League 07 as this is not, from its very poor graphics, this games only battle point is its fun game-play which can be augmented again and again against Fifa, which overall i think Fifa is a better game
