  Amazing.

Get this. Honestly it's so good. Even if you're not into half life, just get this for portal. That alone is worth it. :)

Better value than the Monkey Island Bounty Pack!

What can I say about The Orange Box that hasn't already been said?

Even with the age of the games in this pack, you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal.

Half Life 2 is widely regarded as one of the greatest FPS games ever made, not to mention the fact that it has stood the test of time remarkably well.

I've had this bundle for years and I still haven't played TF2. I'm not much of an online gamer and I flat out suck at shooters, but from what I hear Team Fortress 2 still has quite a dedicated following.

Portal is the beautiful shining gem at the center of this bundle. While only short it never outstays its welcome, with an engrossing story and a well balanced difficulty curve, this First Person Puzzler takes an excellent approach to tutoring the player, firstly by separating the early levels of the game into individual "Testing Chambers" where the corporation responsible for creating the portal gun conducts tests. Here you are gradually introduced to the features of the portal gun, as well as the various techniques you will require for the later stages. If you enjoy dark comedy, brain-teasing puzzles and mind-bending physics than this game is definitely for you. Even if you don't, it's only a bloody TENNER! BUY IT!

  5 fantastic games in one!

the time ive spent playing team fortress 2 alone makes the price tag worthy. TF2 is great even for a beginner to pick up. since i lose patience with the elitism of black ops i found it ideal to get back into first person shooters.
Portal is great fun and a good puzzle game, so much so that i will soon be getting Portal 2. the ending credits were also worthy of a few giggles.
as for half-life 2, episode 1 and 2 theres probably a good 20 hours of gameplay plus a lot more if you want to unlock all achievements. the only thing i wish this game had was a co-op mode.

Half Life 2 raises the standards set by Half Life

I haven't played Half Life in years so decided to get Half Life 2 having recently purchased an xbox 360. Half Life 2 captures the essence of Half Life with the bonus of improved graphics and gameplay. I loved half life and this game is even. You do however have to start the game with no weapons and when you eventually get a weapon it's only the crowbar, which is annoying but somewhat nostalgic following in the steps of the original game. I am currently on a level where you drive a Florida Everglades type boat and you can ram into the soldiers. The game is worth buying just for that. Buy this game, you won't be dissapointed.

  A Fantastic Bargain

Despite being released back in 2007 Half-Life 2: The Orange Box remains the biggest bargain in gaming. For your money you get arguably the best game of all time in Half Life 2 as well as the two excellent expansions in episodes 1 and 2 that were previously unavailable on any console.

That in itself would be a great pack but The Orange Box also includes the brilliantly original Portal (a game good enough to have been released by itself) and entertaining, but now slightly dated, multiplayer shooter Team Fortress 2. With Portal 2 having just been released there really is no better time to pick up this collection.

Awesome and its several years old!!!!

Half Life is definately the bench mark for all games to compete with, in addition to the shooter aspect you have to use your brain to work out how to overcome obstacles. Having played Half life 1 on the PC and eagerly waiting the years in between each episode I am now desperate for news on episode three although Valve have been incredibly tight lipped on anything about it. No doubt it will lay down the gauntlet when it finally arrives.
Im simply buying this copy as a back-up for my older version and at 9.99 delivered is the bargain of the century.

  Superb!

For being a game that is now a few years old it's fantastic!
I have played c.o.d, medal of honour and lots of first person shooters and it's just as good. One of the best games i own in my collection. 100% worth 10 pounds!!!

It was great, now its a bit dated

If you have never played an FPs before pick this up. However if you have played any recent games then the controls will seem very alien and dated. No Aim down sight feels very odd and hinders gameplay alot, you can tell if they updated it for 2011 it would be fantastic.
Portal however is brilliant, just a little short to be worth the purchse.
Personally I wouldnt bother picking this game up as it doesn't really ever excite because of its dated feel. Im bored of it after a very short time.
