having only played the beta youll have to excuse my limited knowledge on this one, what i can tell you though is that its so far the most brilliant FPS i have ever played. The Call Of Duty Series has been the backbone of many xbox 360 gamers collections for some time now, but many felt COD3 was a step in the wrong direction and although i thoroughly enjoyed the game it did lack some of the polish of its predecessor. Not to worry, the fourth instalment has been handed over to the team behind number two so the quality feel is back in this one. The first thing to mention about the actual game its self is that the are no sausage munching bosch in sight as this one is set in the modern world, hence the title:
Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The second thing to know, and this is very important, is that there are considerably less in the way of glory stealing yanks too, yes this game actually has British SAS (the best in the world) and Russian Spetnaz (wouldnt mess with em myself) The gameply is involving, the graphics are enchanting and the game just works so well. On the multiplayer alone you can gain ranks (and permanently keep them, similar to rainbow six but the upgrades are worth having) call in airstrikes (an overview of the map comes up and you use a cursor to target the area of your choice before several jets fly overhead and flatten your enemy into a fine paste) you can now stab people when your upclose for a silent kill, i could go on and on about the upgrades and perks you can aquire but id just be making the wait for the game harder to bear, just buy it, you can thank me later.

Brilliant, Possibly the best game to date for the 360

In my opinion this is far better than any other game i have played or owned for the 360, I was addicted to the beta, it took me back to my counterstrike days!

Superb graphics, gameplay, maps and modes. A great ranking\level system to match too.

A definate for any FPS fan.

I bought halo to occupy me until this but halo fell waaaaaaaay short of the mark!

       Truly a Great Gaming Experience

I recently took part in the Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare BETA and it was truly an amazing experience.

To aquire the BETA, you had to register to certain websites and they sent you an activation key which allowed you to download the BETA. They were very rare, they had to be given out daily because the demand was so high.

Well, the gameplay is stunning, the graphics are immense and it truly will be the best game of 2007. Better than Halo, better than Fifa, better than Need For Speed.

Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare is the game you have to get, purely for the online experience aswell, Call of Duty started off as a PC game so Activision know how to provide good online experiences.

Yeah, Microsoft made Halo, and they are the biggest computing company out there, but Call Of Duty will put that game to shame.

I hope you enjoy it when it comes out, I pre-ordered it a long time ago :)

just brilliant!!! graphics are outstanding and clear.
loads of different achievments to unlock and if your semi decent you rank up fairly quickly. weapons are very realistic and loads of them. very addictive, thought rainbow six was good this is wicked!!!

       Mind Blowing, Adrenaline pumpin' game.

I must say the beta was an impressive experience. The graphics were intense, one aspect of this game which caught my eye was the fact that its so realistic, you can hide in the grass and not be seen. You can hear the bullets flying past your head when your running if your being shot at. Another aspect which is quite amazing is the fact that only 2-3 bullets kill you which sounds bad, but is in fact very fun and realistic.

Ranks are positively marked (no deductions due to bad play). Higher ranks bring better 'perks' which are great to play for. I can only comment on the first 16 ranks due to only playing the beta for that period in which it got to rank 16. At that level you unlock many 'perks' such as an Uzi which is a powerful weapon in the game.

This game actually includes the British SAS for once. I've never seen a game where this has happened.
