Right from the starting line, Project Gotham Racing 4 creates an emotionally-charged racing experience, where you become attached to your careers, profiles, and vehicles. There are several new features that embody this emotional experience, the most significant being the new career mode. For the first time in PGR history, drivers will have the option of racing a variety of motorcycles from top manufacturers, such as Ducati, BMW and Honda. Whether on two wheels or four, players must perform daring and stylistic moves to win over their fans, who will cheer them on as they follow their road to racing notoriety.

Get ready to be rewarded with a growing fanbase that cheers you on, reacts to your every move, and supports you through victory. Just imagine hearing the roar of the crowd as you cross the finish line with your own style and flair. In addition, through a new content server, drivers can save their favorite races and search over Xbox LIVE for race content that is specific to their interests. Players can find out who has the longest slide or wheelie in Shanghai or St. Petersburg, for example, through the innovative new content server.

Dynamic Weather System: Now racing through a track can mean facing an unexpected rain storm or snow flurries in the middle of a race. This results in changing physics when powering around a corner on the wet or icy surface in Shanghai and St. Petersburg or any of the game's 10 other locations.

Flair & Driving Style: Pass your opponent at full speed as you pump your fists and exhibit more emotion as you earn recognition with the revised Kudos system. The Kudos will be worthwhile too, because the new A.I. personalities will be able to perform bold new driving maneuvers as they race side by side with other drivers.

120+ Iconic Vehicles: More than 120 iconic vehicles, including motorcycles, from the world's top manufacturers. PGR4 puts gamers behind the wheel of the world's most iconic cars, including the 1957 Maserati 250F, 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray, 1978 Lamborghini Countach LP400, 1993 Toyota Supra Turbo, and 2006 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. In addition, for the first time motorcycles from top manufacturers, such as Ducati, BMW and Honda, will be included in the game. Whether in single-player mode or playing with a team of up to seven other drivers, players can choose to race two motorcycles side by side or race with a combination of cars and motorcycles. The game's unique physics engine enables drivers to pull off incredible driving maneuvers not found in any other racing game.

Xbox LIVE gameplay: PGR4 sets a new standard for racing on Xbox LIVE, allowing drivers to build a global racing community through team-orientated gameplay while making it easy to find their favorite races or images.

PGR4 - This is what online Racing is all about

Project Gotham Racing 4 (PGR4) is the 4th in the series and a return to the good old days. For those of you that hadn't played the previous versions, PGR1 was good, PGR2 was great and PGR3 was sadly a bit of a let down.
PGR4 however gets everything right and is a fantastic driving game and fully lives up to all the hype and expectation that preceeded it.

There are alot of new features from the previous version with the most noticable being the addition of motorbikes.
I was quite sceptical of this at first, but to be honest, it works and works really really well. It just adds a different dimension to an already fantastic game. Powering down the straights at 200mph + with the sound pumping out is an audio and visual treat, at times it just blows you away.

There are 2 main parts to the game, the single player and the mulitplayer.
The single player game consists of an arcade mode which is great, but the main part is the career.

The career mode has been thought about carefully and is based around the calender, as different events come up some you get straight in and race and others you have to qualify for if your ranking is below what is required. For each race you win you pick up Kudos which can be exchanged for a extensive amount of cars and bikes in the shops.
Unlike PGR3, where you could buy the best cars straight away and pretty much finish the game with, PGR4 makes you work for you cars more, which only adds to the enjoyment. Add to that some very intelligent and at times dirty AI (Computer) players it just makes it even more thrilling and enjoyable.

The game really comes into its own on the Mulitplayer game, its good on split screen if your playing with a mate, but playing on Xbox Live, with a packed grid of other human drivers all willing to do what it takes to win really gets the adrenalin pumping.
The only way online racing can be beaten is by hosting a game with all your mates, with so many different tracks and cars/bikes to choose from, the banters flying almost as quick as the racing and its very easy to lose a night just playing this.

The graphics and sound are just amazing they really make the game and are stunningly accurate to the citys there based on.
For anyone thinking about buying this game i'd say.. what are you thinking about ??? Just go buy it, its absolutely awesome and the best in the PGR series so far.

Graphically stunning, the sound is magnificent, controls are easy and responsive and with mulitplayer online the game play just has everything..
As close to perfection as your gonna get - 99% a truly excellent game.

Go get it now or you'll regret it !

       A true racing gem

If you are a fan of the previous PGR games like I am you will no doubt love this game. I have only played the demo but as soon as I did I ordered the game, its amazing! If you like serious racing games then this is surely going to be one of the best titles for 360 this year! A must have!

       An awesome game!

This really is a great game and at £17.99 you can't go wrong!

I bought this game because I decided I needed a change from my normal shoot-em-ups (COD3, COD4, Rainbow Six Vegas, Stranglehold etc.).

I expected the game to be good and I was not dissapointed!
      The Good -
      - Graphics (especially on a HD TV) are breathtaking.
      - The soundtrack is brilliant, with some great electronic music tracks from Warp Records (What a surprise! Well done Bizzare!).
      - Achievements are fun and quite easy to get.
      - The range of cars is brilliant, with some really random and interesting veichles.
      - Online is fun, with a variety of challenges and modes to keep you occupied.
      - There's a pretty massive choice of paint schemes for your cars, it can be great fun picking out the best one!
      - Arcade mode is great, with lots of content to keep you occupied.

      The Bad -
      - When playing online, it's often just a game of bulldog, with people ramming you all over the place, this can become very annoying!
      - The addition of bikes is nice, but you just can't compete when racing against cars.
      - After playing for while, it can seem like you are just playing for the sake of reaching number one!

Overall, this is a great game. It's fun, graphically and adually brilliant and a great alternative to shoot-em-ups which seem to dominate the xbox 360!

At £17.99, this game is an absolute bargain!

The best arcade racer on the 360!

This is also the best PGR game in the series!

They've moved away from the stupid "Life begins at 170" format, which forced them to artificially raise the speed limit of some cars in the game, most notably the Mini Cooper, and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII.

Now, the cars are more realistic, and with the inclusion of bikes, the game has got more crazy. My god, it's tough to control some of the bikes. You need a lot of practice, as a completely different driving style is required. I drive using the view closest to the floor when in a car. When in a bike, I have to use the near chase camera. You also have to brake earlier than a car, and you have to be careful not to fall off, as it can happen in this game, and in my case, it happens a lot!

The online service is brilliant as well. You can also play online with a guest, so that's a plus. The only downside to this game is that standings in races are decided not by your position, but by how much Kudos you have. It's not that much of a problem, though, as you'd need to do a lot of powersliding to catch up in the rankings, and luckily, in some races, the amount of Kudos you can get in a race is limited. Once you've hit the limit, you can't get anything else, so you have to give it the beans and finish as high up as possible.

PGR4 is one of the best racing games on the 360. Actually, it's one of the best games overall on the 360.

OK but could have been better....

now this game, like most has good and bad aspects.firstly the good ones;it has a very good online part which can become extremely addictie.instead of just racing you can play games such as ''bulldog'' which is pretty much tag.also there is a wide range of cars, which all handle very differently.the kudos points is a nice touch too.
the bad points;if you dont mind a racing game were the track is fixed,so there are no alternate roots or shortcuts its great but there is no damage so you just bounce of everything.also like some racing games you cant free roam.the bikes are a nice change but are prcactically impossible to drive.aslso a small thing but after a while you'll know what i mean;the menu gets very annoying after you see a bike doing a dohnuts 100 times.
now this is just my opinon but i think if you do want to buy this game wait till it drops in price because its not worth £40. but if your like me id wait for burnout:paradise which comes out in late january.
      hope this helped you.
