Is a very nice game to play at home parties.

I tried to keep away from the guitar hero games for as long as possible because i knew i would love it and play constantly then end up losing my job, girlfriend and eventually self-awareness but i have finally got it and am starting an incredible but inevitable march towards no life!!
Beware of this game!!
But seriously once you get the hang of it you will be on it for hours. its great to rock out with your favourite bands and its almost as fun to watch someone else giving it a bash...
A recommendation of the highest degree!!!

To Deadmangamer..... solus just means you get the game only and not the guitar, hope this helps

This game is awesome although it's the third in the series i still find the fact you get a guitar (Although not with Solus) great. Has a fantastic soundtrack, many are classics such as Schools Out and When You Were Young, which most of us have heard before. Also a fun game to play with the controller. I would reccomend this game to ANYONE it's that good. Well worth £25.

This outing of Guitar Hero definately lacks something from the previous editions and with Rock Band now released it simply does not compare.

Although this is the third game in the series i have to say this is the best one yet. The graphics and whole feeling to the game seems different from the previous games and makes it altogether a better game.

I bought this game as i had a few friends who had the game and when had a few beers we would play this. But it was one of those games which doesnt exactly grow old. After completing the game you can then go on to defeat the other difficulties where at times you will think "how on earth am i going to get that good".

The game has a fantastic set list, where it ranges from classics from the 70's to some of the latest songs which have recently came out. If you have the money avalible then buy this, if you havent already.

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars A step back

Technically, this game is a step back from Guitar Hero II. -You no longer get a breakdown by player on cooperative songs
-When completing a song on a higher difficulty, you no longer get money for the lower ones; which means you have to complete easy to get the cash.
-Menus tend to reset instead of remembering

The game is worth it for the new songs though.

Customer rating: 1 out of 5 stars i wish i never bought it.

bought this aftrer reading all the reviews and also downloadingh the demo, i found it very boring and repetitive, i must of played it for about 45 minutes and then took it back and lost 20 quid on trade in, for me this has to be the worst game ive ever bought, even worse than rapala tournament fishing. i think i will stick to shoot em ups, hope this helps

I have owned all guitar heros and lets be honest, they are all great games with great setlists and great gameplay. The idea that your playing your favourite solo to your favourite rock song is something that the developers of this game have really pounced on and fair play to them. But despite the fact that this latest release is still very good, it doesnt offer anything incredibly new, rather than giving the title sequels maybe they should have done what singstar do and just categorise their games as new setlists are available. And personally after paying a whopping £65-75 for this game I think its a kick in the teeth to then charge you to download further songs. But aside from all that this game is still as good as its always been and regrettably I do admit its worth the hefty price tag, just thank your lucky stars rock band is out before we have to endure guitar hero 4.
