  A interesting side story

| | See all tombiddy's reviews (40)

I am a avid Star Wars fan and I did enjoy playing this game a lot which had my beautifully animated cut scenes.

WARNING STORY OUTLINE AHEAD

It's about Darth Vader finding a young boy on Kashyyyk and takes him as his apprentice who is the character you will be controlling in the game. Your be given missions by Vader to hunt down Jedi in hiding.

I think it is quite a clever story and I like he way they involve past members of the Star Wars saga but in my personal opinion I don't think Vader would of took a apprentice. I think he would want to be the one and only Sith, but that's just a knowledgeable fans insight and despite that it is still a good game.

  Decent Star Wars game.

The story and most cut scenes are far better than the first two movies in the prequel trilogy in my opinion.
The graphics are really good and this feels like its in the star wars universe,my only niggles are:
No multiplayer which is a crime these days.
Glitches, lots of glitches(i was fighting vader and he just froze).
I have always hated stormtroopers with force shields, flamethrowers and chicken walkers with tracter beams and rocket launchers which isnt very starwars.
Its way too short and i didnt like the fact that there were certain characters from the original movies involved which never mention starkiller during the movie timeline which is a fatal continuity error.
But if you love star wars get this as the physics are really cool and you feel like a proper jedi or sith.

  maddening!

this game is okay to play through and has a half decent story line however it is one of thee most maddening games i'v ever played. If you go achievement hunting then you'll be disappointed to know it's very tedious and time consuming. not to mention mind numbing. The game engine needs a lot of work on it for it's squeal as you try to target one thing and end up picking/electrocuting/or anything. resulting in your death on the hard difficulties. Also a tip for buyer is don't get hit. cause if your hit once your dead because starkiller refuses to get up.

  Excellent game!

When I saw the trailer for this game, I had to have it. It's basically what most Star Wars fans, like myself, want from a game. A 3rd person adventure game where you get to weild a lightsaber and use the force. I've had this game for years now and still find myself picking it up and playing it. Minor critisism is that it's perhaps a bit too short, I would may have liked to have had a few more levels but all in all a very good effort!

  Excellent game but too short

This game is great fun. The developers really knew what we wanted to see in a start wars jedi game.
Awesome powers blowing up everything. This gamesis great and there a some new expansions recently out on xbox live.

The reason it gets 4 stars and not 5 is because the game is WAY too short. If you buy it and start playing in the morning you can complete it is 1 day. With nothing online to add to its value it is a little dissapointing.

If you love star wars and computer games it will be worth it though especially now its only 12.99.

Star Wars: Episode 3.5 - The Force Unleashed

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is an awesome action game which sees a young boy witness the death of his father at the hands of Darth Vader who would later become his Leader. Players play as Starkiller in hunting down Jedi's from the Star Wars universe. Along the way, Starkiller starts to doubt his Master's ways and slowly resists the evil temptations of The Dark Side. The graphics are decent, gameplay is good and the story is fantastic. Buy it if you are a Star Wars fan or if you like action games with Hack and Slash in them.

  definately worth a buy

great game, great story and great graphics. The only downside is the auto target system can get infuriating when it would rather u attacked an ally than the enemy right next to him. The bosses are also very repetative and boring as well as bloody difficult. Last bad point is that hitting some1 with your light saber feels more like ur smacking em with a rounders bat. It doesnt feel right but other than that there are some awsome combos and the combat is kept interesting by giving u a huge array of force poers and light saber moves. Get it especially for under 20 pounds

  better story than the prequels.....

| | See all diabolical's reviews (26)

Ok, the game itself, not all that to be honest. a bit of mindless glitchy repetitive fun that becomes better as you play the game more and upgrade your powers. Who ever thought of a combo system that cant be stopped halfway through'and makes you lunge off ledges to a frequent oh so frequent death should be shot. However what does make this game worth at least one playthrough is the story. I can honestly say that this game is better written and has less annoying characters than any of the prequel movies. It has been confirmed as canon by lucasfilm, created as it was to be a companion to Revenge of the Sith and is set after the film, dealing eventually with the creation of the rebel alliance. Achievements are fun to go after if you're bothered by that kind of thing and it does at least feel like Star Wars. 3 stars
